Where you planning on going Fraggles? :flower:

Hope everyone has a nice weekend - I may be on, we should finally have internet again soon, they came today hurray!

Yeah, Chloe loved it when we went to Southport Butlins and the holiday site in Rhyl.

Hi! Quick to say, I had my son Jacob Anthony yesterday by natural birth. weighing 6lbs 7oz! Only on gas n air! I am on cloud nine! speak soon xxx

awww, HUGE congratulations Nanaki! Hope you recovery quickly and get adjusted to having your 2 little boys with you now. xxxxx

Ok gotta, ask, what's yo Gabba gabba and that Blue thing you mentioned Chaos and Milosmummy?!!!

Milosmum: sorry to hear that the people who came about the possible ASD were idiots to you... where does this leave you now?

Fraggles, have a good break if you do go away and also good luck with returning to work.

Colsy, sorry to hear it wasn't your month again. x

Kte and Aimee- sounds good for parties and presents. Harry loves his toolbox too... altho everything is called a spanner or a hammer, regardless of what tool it actually is, bless him.

Kaites, tis crazy how fast this past 2 years have gone... I like that harry has a little birthday and boobie buddy across the water though ;)

Yo Gabba Gabba is awsome! Its usually on NickJr/NickJr2 though Fleur although they aren't showing it at the moment but seriously, give it a YouTube. It's a bit whacky but is fab and there are lots of songs and morals like 'don't bite your friends'!! I think Kaites knows a bit about Yo Gabba Gabba too. Also . . . I'm shocked you don't know about Blues Clues! I used to watch that years ago . . . when the presenter guy was called Kevin Duala but not sure he is there now?! I think it may be another Nick programme though!

Not sure i'm going to get away :( J goes back to hospital tomorrow and N has mesenteric adenitis

nanaki- aww. congrats! he sounds so tiny! lol.

flora- yesterday he had a wellness checkup and i asked his pedi to refer us to someone. he gave me a number to a pediatric neurologist. i tried calling yesterday but no one answered. i hope someone answers today!

fraggles- sorry to hear you cant take a holiday and get away :hugs:

milo loves yo gabba gabba! next friday we're taking him to see them live (for an early bday present). i hope he likes it. i used to watch blues clues when i was a kid :dohh: they have different names for characters over there? when iwas younger, the guy on blues clues was Steve (steven burns). now it's his "cousin" Joe  lol

Yo Gabba Gabba is on very early on ITV I think, maybe channel 5, on a weekend. It's very strange but Earl loves it. - just checked and it's on channel 4 at 5.45 tomorrow if you have sky plus! lol

Never seen Blue's Clues either.

Fraggles- sorry you're not going away and the boys aren't well. :hugs:

i'm having the worst luck today trying to book milo for a pediatric neurologist appointment that milo's pedi told us to do yesterday at his check up.
well i called and no one answered. so i called back the pediatric neurologist, they dont accept our insurance. so i called our pedi's office and she gave me a number to another neurologist, i called them, and they dont accept children! so then she goes to look for a different neurologist for me to call. she comes back on the line and says she cant find my ANY neurologist to send me to. so she told me to look at my insurance book and find it myself (not in those words lol). if not to call back and she'll try to keep looking. i looked on our insurances's online directory. i called one of the ones on the list of 2, lol. and she said that the doctor does not see anyone with the diagnoses of autism because ASD is a secondary diagnoses of a bigger problem. so i need to talk to my pedi about it more and make him find a "bigger problem"/ primary diagnoses. i gave up for the day. i'm about to cry because i'm getting no where and i'm getting frustrated with everything. i'll call the second doctor and milo's pedi tomorrow to see what i gotta do.
*sigh* :'( why cant anything just go right for me?! i'm trying my hardest to get milo help and it feels like no one is on my team helping me. and he's been so overwhelming lately. every thing that enters his hand has to be thrown across the room. he's looking for everything on the floor, shelves, in a drawer he can open. and he throws everything around. then if i try to stop him he starts crying and hitting himself or pulling his hair. right now i'm with my SIL having our "alone time" wihtout the kids and it feels like nothing but shitty time to me.

do you have any support groups or forums Milosmummy? They might be able to give you some extra resources in the meantime while you wait for the specialists and assessments?

also Fraggles, hope you little boys get some health luck soon, bless them. x

yeah, i've vented to the rest of my ASD mommas on another forum. but none of them live near me, let alone in my state. so they cant be of much help :( my insurance wont pay for any sort of specialist until milo's pedi refers them. pretty much, i have to bug them until they can do something for me :?

aww, that sucks.... but at least you're being pro-active about it all, which will be what matters most in the long run in getting any help or advice you and Milo need, both now and in the future. x

Here's another random kids TV question- for Thomas the Train (or whatever it's called), is the narration done by someone with a British accent in the UK or is it an American? The reason I ask is that I had it on Netflix as I was cooking dinner to attempt to occupy Emma (the kid pretty much only likes the theme songs though so it's not too successful, lol) and it was an American accented guy doing the narration but then I noticed that the little songs were sung by people with British accents so it got me thinking about whether it's a slightly different version over here...

Milosmommy- :hugs: I hope that it gets easier trying to find help for Milo- it must be so frustrating to have the doctor/insurance to deal with as well as the behaviour issues.

Fraggles- I hope N & J are both feeling better soon :hugs:
