Bumpkins & Babies Chat Thread

Kaites: :haha: My sister and I are amazed at how we were when we were younger. I still to this day don't know where my parent's hid the presants but at Christmas they used to put a sack at the end of the bed and we would sit and examine and guess what was in them - never open them!! We must of been mad lol! Although it meant we kept on pestering our parents at 3am until opening time as we were so excited!

Eala: Glad you had a nice party celebration. Typical, my nephews are the same, my Sis goes all out to try and impress them and it will be some odd thing she never even considered that totally buzzed them out.

Milo'sMummy: Yep its a pacifier. This is the only one she uses now Pacimal Dallas The Duck Comfort Teddy With Dummy (Otherwise known as 'Quack-Quack' to Chloe). I can't belive I found a UK link, my poor sis has been shipping them over from the US! Customs charged her £20 to release some as well!

Colsy: Glad you had a nice holiday, I was wondering why you were so quiet!!

I feel bad for missing so many Bumpkin's birthdays already, but a HUGE belated HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cake:

So mission baby out has officially started!! ;) Missys calendar is full this week of things that make me walk and be active! Today I took her to a place called Tiger world (pics on FB) and tomorrow we're going swimming! Thursdays we're going to "bounce bounce" (baby gym, and yes I'll be on the trampoline haha) and Friday .. Bowling!! Last time I went bowling when I was preggy I went in to labour the next day .. keep your fingers crossed. Mama wants to see her feet again ;)

LK- ahh, yes, i remember now about the split shortly after the bfp. :hugs:

kte- i dont think i've ever seen those before  Milo still has his paci :dohh: he was doing really good without it aside from bed and naptime, ever since he was 8 months. but at 17 months he decided he needed it all the time!

chaos- hope you have a good time this week.

Chaos: Good look, be interesting to see if bowling works again! :flower: :haha:

Flora: Any plans in prep for tomorrow? :flower:

Is is just me, or has B&B been 'centered'? All the text and forum headings etc are all down the middle

yes!! It's so annoying!! I like the new forum jump thingy from earlier in the week but this centering thing needs to go!

re: xmas gifts, that's some willpower, waiting to open them when they are right infront of you!

Chaos- i hope Isabel makes an appearance for you soon! :flower:

Milosmommy- Yeah, I was about 16 and still sneaking into gifts too

Not a whole lot new here- I made Emma a little top last night. It's a pink fabric with cement trucks, dump trucks, etc all over it- totally girly and tomboy at the same time, kinda like Emma :) I thought the boys would freak out when they saw it since they love anything trucks but I don't think they've even noticed- typical men already! :haha:

Anyway, I should be making a grocery list- need to pick up some stuff for tomorrow and figure I might as well get the last few things I need for thanksgiving dinner while I'm out too  Hope everyone is having a good day!

Happy belated birthday to Bumpkins, work is manic im spending half my life on trains travelling.

i dont like the centering :brat:

milo is being extra bratty today. he flips out the second he is told no, keeps scratching me and dropping himself to the ground if he's mad. only 6pm. i am SOOO ready for OH to be off work already.

Okay, I haven't gone to bed yet and I should have so technically . . . .

Happy 2nd birthday to Emma :cake:

Happy 2nd birthday to Harry :cake:

Milo's Mummy: Hope Milo has a nice rest tonight so he is in a better mood tomorrow for you :flower:

Fraggles: Hope the new job & training is going well :flower:

Sorry for the birthdays I've missed so far! Happy birthday to all the bumpkins so far :cake:

How is everyone. I still have a stinking cold and not a lot else going on. I must say I'm enjoying my new work hours, even if the late nights are a bit of a b***h lol. I now have 3 days off in a row. Earl has caught my cold so is a bit of a grumpy bum today. I can see that today will mostly consist of films, comfort food and a quick trip up to the shops to buy milk and sausages for tea lol.

Hope everyone is ok otherwise. I'm off to go and make myself some jammy toast lol. Sure Earl wont say no to a slice too lol.

Hi ladies.

I am popping to say hello!

Yesterday we went to the nursery to look around for Billy to go in soon as he need to learn more speech but the owner of the place says he is very good with words at his age which we are pleased to hear about! He loves to play toys there and he enjoyed there so we are glad that we have picked the right place. So at the moment I am filling in the application form and he could go after his birthday next weekend.

Jacob is doing well with bf and bottle and growing quick! I cant wait for him to see clear at 6weeks so he can see mummy and daddy also Billy!

Congrats Aimee for your BFP! Just noticed it in your siggy!

Xxxx

Good afternoon ladies!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HARRY!!!! :happydance:

Brithday nap in progress here  Just had Emma's big girl bed mattress arrive and looks like everyone slept through the delivery (bonus for me, lol). My parents came and collected Emma for a birthday excursion this morning and took her out for ice cream, got a Dora balloon and a Dora book for her. She's been enjoying the Grandma and Grandpa time which is good since I think she needs a break from me occasionally :haha: One of Emma's friends gave her a princess set, complete with tiara and high heel shoes  so now Emma insists on wearing these plastic high heels that are about 4 sizes too big for her. If I write about Emma going to the hospital with a broken ankle, you'll know how it happened :haha: Gorgeous sunny weather here, so we're going to BBQ tonight and have my parents back around and give her some of her gifts then.

Oh and the tutu I made was worn for all of 30 seconds before she started to ask for it to be taken off :dohh: I think I'll put it away for next year and pretend it's something new for her birthday when she's three :haha:

Fraggles- I hope work calms down for you and that it's going well, even if it is hectic :flower:

Milosmommy- Hope you are having a better day today :hugs:

Aimee- Hope you feel better soon!

Nanaki- glad to hear Billy is doing well and that the nursery looks good

Kte- Thanks for the Emma birthday wishes :)

I hope everyone is having a good day!

I just noticed we're not "centered" anymore  I guess enough other people must have hated it too!

hope Emma had a nice birthday :happydance: i'm sure she wont remember the tutu :haha:

milo is acting slightly better today. but still horrible enough to drive me crazy :dohh: he gets extremely clingy when he wakes up from a nap. and even more if Ava needs me

Emma is kinda the same when it comes to waking up from naps if another one of her friends wakes up at the same time as her  There have been a couple of time where I've just had to leave her screaming on the couch while I go collect the others from their pack n plays. I hate doing it, but it's not fair to leave the others crying either

We've got our 2 yr old check up today- I'm not looking forward to it. Emma still has a major hate on for all doctors and today she's going to have her catch-up immunizations (like everything she's missed since last december when she had the IVIG treatment :dohh:). Hopefully it doesn't mess up her sleep too badly over the next few days- everytime she sees a doctor now, she wakes every 45 min or so looking for me and hubby

Hope everyone is having a good day!

Kaites: Hope Emma doesn't become too unsettled and her jabs don't affect her too much either :hugs:

kaites- poor Emma. our's isnt until November. i hate taking him to doctors. he FLIPS out

thanks- the doctor's visit wasn't as bad as it could have been. In the end, they have changed the vax schedule here in Ontario, so she only needed the chicken pox jab (she'll be 5 when she gets the 2nd dose of that and MMR now). She was fine for measuring head circ and height, but freaked out for the weighing. She's 37.5 inches tall now and still roughly 31lbs. Still a big girl, lol- I think she's gonna be tall when she grows up! We went for ice cream afterwards, so she's forgiven me for putting her through the trauma of the doctor's office :)

Spent the rest of the day shopping- bought her a bed frame at Ikea (I love it- it has a canopy and converts to a loft bed when she's older) and a bunch of Christmas pressies. I think my shopping for Emma, hubby and the daycare kiddies is all done  I got Emma a play kitchen, a small table with chairs and a train set.

Gotta run- someone just woke in her new bed...
