He's being really grumpy today and not wanting me to put him down at all.

Feel bad for OH cos i cant get on and do housework and cook roast for when he gets home from work. He's been so good going to work but getting up to feed Sam at night cos im just shattered.

We are having problems with our LO overnight. She seems to be particularly bad after she has a bath. She is very windy and is on infacol which I think she is becoming immune to! She is on aptamil with tommee tippee bottles and usually takes around 4oz. Last night every time I put her back in crib she was thrashing around, legs kicking off covers and she would scream. She was fine when I had her in my arms and was sleeping but the moment I put her back she would cry! I wind her for ages after a feed and temperature in room is around 18c. We seem to get this every 2nd or 3rd night. Any of you guys got any tips or advice??

Tommy gets rlly stressed when i put him down flat and hes windy. I think its coz it just sits on their chests/belly and so is more uncomfortable than when their a bit bent in your arms. Iv found laying him down and lifting up his legs like i do when im changing his nappy helps him release from the lower end or sitting him up against my arm and tapping his chest after rubbing his back a bit helps him burp when its rlly stuck. rubbing his tummy in circles round his belly button or up and down along the button line of his baby gro helps 2, with both ends it seems. I had 2 spend about 40 odd minutes last nyt doing those things but once hed had a good few burps and nearly blasted himself off my lap he conked str8 out and slept really well for the next 4 hours till he wanted feeding.
Hope that helps, good luck xx

Jo_79 all done hun x

Bonfloss; Sienna screams the house down if she is flat she prefers her side, have you tried LO on her side maybe?! I roll up a blanket and pop it in front of Sienna's tummy so she cant roll forward.. I obviously make sure its not near her face too x Also like KrisK said maybe try some things to help LO release any trapped in wind x I hope things calm down soon xx

Well girls my little minxy is now on an extra oz of milk at each feed! she was draining 3oz like no ones business and then screaming for more, she seems rather happy on 4oz so who knows maybe she may sleep longer at night! OH is back to work tomorrow which is a bit daunting but exciting too...

:hugs: to you all x

:hugs: to bonfloss. i dont have any suggestions as i haven't experienced this yet, sorry, but i hope she's settling better soon for you. x

Thanks ladies, will give these things a try tonight. Its the horrible dread feeling of whats to come so fingers crossed tonight is better. My mum thinks its because yesterday was her due date and she was making a statement!!!

Bonfloss ~ Have you tried a bit of gripe water after a feed? 0-1 month you give 2.5mls. Autumn gets really windy and stressy after some feeds, it really helps and she fills her nappy with in 5 minutes of having it! :) It's so good I'm paying $10 for 4oz over here in the states lol (Its really hard to get here!)

I've also discovered she really likes the vibration setting on her bassinet, it sends her right off to sleep after a feed no matter how fussy she is.

Hey bumpkin mamas :flower: - I wanted to swing by and see how you all are - I think I ought to hang out here sometimes as well as Septembryo as my honorary bumpkin is a closer age to your little lovelies....

Hope you are all enjoying the journey so far and I look forward to getting to know you better :D :hugs:

Morning girls x

WOW what a difference an extra oz makes, Sienna only woke once in the night bless her.. She is so much more content on 4oz and she was bang on schedule to move up an oz according to the tub so really happy.

Bonfloss: I hope you have had a better night hun xx

I have updated the front page with all the sept girls who went overdue and became bumpkins x

Catch you all in a bit xx

Thanks for adding us gatecrashers :D
If any of you want to come over to the septembryo area to get a sneek peak at what's in store in the 6-8 week phase you're more than welcome.

Good news on Sienna there, and what a lovely name choice too!

do you know what is really annoying me lately?!!!!

Everyone going on about how "fat" Dexter is!! He was 9lb6 born and was 10lb8oz on weds at 3 weeks old.

We went to MIL yday so adams family could meet him [because obv they cant come to us?! its a 2hour drive for us with a newborn[ish] and toddler!] and they all went on and on about how big.fat he is. They even lyed him down on the floor next to adams 5mth old neice and went on about how hes nearly the same size?! wtf!. They seem to forget that just because hes big they seem to forget hes only 3weeks, they were flinging him about and everything!

Also, on sat we went for lunch at asda, and i askd for a highchair and the lass looked at taylor and dexter and said do you need two?! yes yes i need two highchairs one for my 19mth old and one for my 3 WEEK OLD BABY!! asrgh

I think sturdy babies are aces! my little un was 10lb 4oz when I got her weighed at 18 days - I really don't know why people feel their opinion is soooo important, bah!!!

Big babies are wonderful ignore them hun... my eldest was 9lb 6oz at birth and is now all slim and tall at 10 years old x

Sienna is small & i get "oh she looks like a doll" so you cant win either way trust me x

My heavy baby isn't all chunky and baby michelin man like yet though - I don't know where she is storing it - I keep getting 'she doesn't look that heavy'....hehe...I guess people don't want to appear they aren't interested!!!

no dexter doesnt look big at all.. hes more solid then fat iykwim lol
