Morning All!

OH starts work today! Yippee!?!?!

I've been looking back at the piccies we've all put on here of our LO, aren't we so lucky to have such wonderful beautiful children!

CC is just dropping off to sleep in OH's arms... Shhh.... She's sleeping pretty well on a night, sometimes waking once/twice, going straight back to sleep... The rest of the day she's pretty much all smiles... Bless...

Morning all

Well Noah went to sleep at 10pm last night and didnt wake until just before 5.30am :happydance: I woke at 2.30 with full boobs and waited a little to see if he would wake but no so I had to express. Was well happy as I got 9.5 oz which is great as i'd een low on milk recently. So ive popped a couple of cups of ebm in the freezer and i've got some bottles in the fridge as I fee done boob and express the other in the mornings (im short on milk at night)

Im spending the day tidying and sorting. House is such a mess with us just moving in.

Hi everyone,

Flora - I try not to let Earl watch too much TV but sometimes it can't be helped as he's learnt to twist himself round to look at it. Looks like my days of daytime TV are over lol. This afternoon hubby and I were watching Walk the Line and he was mesmorised by the music! So cute, but I was only saying to hubby earlier on that I don't want a 1 year old that has a tantrum every time the TV goes off....I'm going to start switching it off as of Thursday when hubby goes back to work.

Kte - The OOglies are great fun! Reminds me of the older programmes that were around when we were kids. I have been appalled recently as I have been 'testing' some of the kids TV ready for when Earl is 2 (when I plan to start making TV a more regular occurence) and so far they've managed to ruin all of my old favourites - Rupert, Postman Pat, Winnie the Pooh...and some of the new stuff is awful, although I am developing a slight soft spot for Roary the Racing Car lol.

I'm also chuffed as the last 2 days Earl has had a big nap in the afternoon (been going to sleep around 12ish after his bottle, then waking about 2 hours later). He's still asleep at the moment, but if that carries on for a little bit that would be excellent! I also did a dreamfeed last night at 11pm after the night before being so weird, and he slept straight through until 7am which is his normal waking up time! He polished off 7oz at the dreamfeed and then a full 7oz again when he woke up. No messing about with his first bottle of the day which normally happens. Well chuffed with him!

Anyhoo's, I'm off to go and finally have a go on my sewing machine I think. Either that or clear the hallway so I can actually get my sewing machine out...I'm scared to look to be honest lol. That is if munchkin doesn't wake up and want food (should be anytime in the next half an hour )

Have a good one ladies xx

lol, glad I'm not the only one with the Tv thing! OH & I have decided Harry wont have his own TV or computer until he's at secondary school; OH was at boarding school from age 10-18, so he didnt care much about TV & my mum was a hitler when I was growing up & I didnt have a TV until I was 16 or my own laptop till I was 21!!! (deprived or what, lol)

My dad painted Harry's room with the first coat of light blue today & my sister sanded down the door frames in the lounge ready to be sorted tomorrow. I was looking after harry & Caleb & making bacon baps for them, hehe. Got to go into town tomorrow to get Harry weighed n stuff, plus I need to take him to the drop in clinic at the Drs coz his conjunctivitus (sp?) still hasnt gone.

LK, wow, now that's a weight gain & a half for James! :) Glad he's happier :)

Hey Girlies!
Haven't been on here for ages!
well i had my tooth out on thursday after, safe to say im still slightly suffering with it :(
took Ashton to clinic today for his first jabs, (late i know, dont ask!)
had to take my mum with me as i have a needle phobia!
he cried because he was hungry and my mum had to take his bottle off him to help hold his legs, i was sat in the waiting room and didnt like the sound of it then! :(
well he came back out, she gave him to me, i fed him and he was all smiles then while i was putting his all in one back on him he fell asleep... from 12:15pm to 3:10pm!
but he is such a happy and content baby :)
i've been going for walks recently, walked over 3 miles yesterday, and over 2miles the day before! go me!!
had Ashton weighed today as he hasn't been weighed since he was 7 weeks :O and he was 15lb 14.5oz!!
i couldnt believe it! he's a long baby, hes 63cms long now so he doesnt look as heavy as he is!

hoping this snow's gonna hold off coz i need to get into cardiff to do some well deserved shopping on thursday!!

big massive hugs to all you ladies and babies that need them!!
sorry cant post to each person individually, got a feeling hes going to wake up soon!!
hope everyone is well :)
xxx

Evening girlies and babies! Well I've had a pretty good day today. Spent all morning changing addresses on everything and then I went into town to pay a cheque into the bank for my brother and post some letters. Then I walked to my sisters house and spent a couple of hours there with my 3 nephews. Then I walked back from her house to my parents house which is roughly 2 miles....in just 15 minutes! Was well impressed with myself and feel great now if a little tired lol.

Poor James has been suffering a bit today with his temperature. Had to keep him in just his vest and tshirt and give him some calpol before we went out. He seems a bit happier now. Had a bottle at 4pm and has been asleep since about half way down my sisters road so an hour so far. Going to have my dinner and then bath him, give him a bottle at 7pm and hopefully down in his bed at 7.30pm. We shall see how it goes lol.

Well, afternoon at work to cover the hours I missed yesterday. OH had a nice time with Chloe this afternoon, she was a bit grumpy, I think she is teething again, is it normal for the pain to go on and off over the days? Some days she is fine and others it really gets to her.

I put her forward facing in the pram today, so I guess its officially a push chair! She still just fits in the pram bit but I needed to go to Tesco today to get her some more formula. She had been asleep all morning and had just woken up as I was ready to put her in the pram. She was wide awake, I felt pretty mean lying her down just after she had woken up so I decided to swap it over. I wrapped her up really warm and could peek at her thorough this mesh bit on the hood to see if she was okay. She loved it, she was looking all over the place! Her only complaint was when I stopped pushing! On the way back she did fall asleep but I could recline the back so she snoozed happily away until a git on a really noisy motorcycle drove past and woke her up again. All in all a success though!

Oooo think she has finally drifted off to sleep THANK YOU SWING CHAIR :D. I am so going to miss it when she gets to big to go in it, no matter how much I rock her sometimes it just doesn't work.

Morning all!!

Seems a little strange listening to your tales, and people starting to go back to work; July is the earliest I need to look at going back to work;

CC shouts, I be about later...

Right back again...

CC's all dressed and fed! Boy is it chilly...

I think I'm still suffering from baby brain, either that or I really am just dense... LOL totally forgot I needed the car, DS has swimming today; just been looking at the bus time table; I can get there well early and can get the bus back, LOL DS would love it...

We'll see what today throw's at us...

I hope OH's 1st proper day's work in over a month goes well...

Afternoon all,

Went to a weaning group and postnatal group today. Weaning group was okay, nothing I wasn't really aware of and the lady just practically read a NHS booklet that we were given. On the plus side, we got a free Tommee Tippee cup lol. Nice to see a few other Mums and babies, some of them were tiny still but all older than Chloe!

Think Chloe will have the same problems when growing up as I did with looking older than she is. I can remember one Christmas my parents and their friends went to a club, they had a daughter older than me. The club was handing out free selection boxes, she got one and I didn't as I looked too old! I can't grumble though, there was a plus side when I was older. Once I went for a meal with my Sis and her friends, they are all 5 years older than me. They ordered some drinks and when the waiter came back he gave me an alcoholic drink and one of my Sis's mates my Coke! At least I can guide and help Chloe if she gets this too!

We didn't last at the Postnatal class, it was rubbish. That place is so unorganised! It started late, it followed on from the weaning class and they just left everyone sat there! I thought there would be a bit more than that to it. We fed Chloe and decided to leave won't be going back either.

Eswift ~ hope your OH enjoys his first day in the new job :thumbup

Hope you manage to sort out getting to Swimming!

Yeah back to work for me due to funds and funds only. I don't mind going back as such as I do like my job and work with a great bunch of people, I would have loved a little more time off, still only 1 day a week for the next 6 weeks so it's better than nothing . . . so now I am just on one big extended holiday!!

Hi ladies!

Hope everyone is having a good week- weather here has been a little warmer so we've been spending more time going on walks, weaning myself from the computer a bit :) I think Emma had another growth spurt last week since she is definitely longer- time to start buying 2-piece pjs :) My arms are sore today after hoisting Emma around at yoga yesterday- I felt like a weakling when the instructor showed variations for the "mum with the big baby". Anyone else's LOs eyes starting to change colour? I've got brown eyes so I'm expecting Emma's to turn brown at somepoint. I noticed when we were outside that the centre of her left eye is getting some golden flecks and only really blue-grey along the outer rim. Her right eye hasn't started yet (I'm sure it's just slower but my great-grandmother had one blue eye and one brown so I'm interested to see if that happens too).

eswift- hope your hubby has a good first day back
kte- that's great that you get to ease yourself back to work. That's too bad that the groups weren't better organized- at least you got to meet some other mums.

Emma just woke up- better get going! :hugs: to those that need them

Hi ladies,

Just popping on briefly.

Kte - sorry to hear the groups weren't good. I was invited to a 'Babies and Mummies' group (well I say I was, the invitation was addressed to Earl lol) but we couldn't make it as I don't have the car most of the time. I am a bit dubious though as the 'parentcraft' classes weren't brilliant.

Not a lot else to report. Weighed Earl tonight - 16lb 9oz at 12 weeks and 2 days! He's only 2lb 3oz off doubling his birthweight and he's got 5 weeks to get there.......don't think he'll have a problem lol

We have our first set of injections tomorrow morning at 9.10. I'm really not looking forward to it as we've had a bath day with his teeth (poor little mite had to have 2 doses of calpol and regular lots of teething gel as well as his gummy put in the freezer and he was still suffering ).

Anyhoo's I'm off now. We've started dreamfeeding Earl and I want to havea chill out before I have to go and resume Mummy duties lol.

Have a nice evening ladies xx

Morning All!

OH had a good day, yippeee; hopefully, that's a good sign...

DS wasn't amused when I met him at school and walked him into town for swimming; I was expecting it to take ages (with him dragging his feet) pleasantly surprised that it only took us 20 mins extra to what he'd have taken walking home from school... LOL poor kid, is just gonna have to get use to it; come the nicer weather and I might just make him walk there and back. As I need to get my fitness back...

Kte ~ I know what you mean about needs must, I'm on flat wages until July so there's no point rushing back as I don't have the travel costs to cover... Nice to hear that they're allowing you to start back slowly... I've to go to one of those weaning classes, waiting for the letter to let me know when... Kind of hoping that it's better than the antenatal class...

Hope you all have a good day xxxx

Well ladies we have had another fab night! James slept from 8.30pm to....8.25am!!! I really wish I didn't have to speak to FOB though grrr. Had him on the phone in floods of tears again. Unfortunately the child benefit went into our joint account on the day I phoned to change it so I am trying to get it back from him so he asked me to phone him this morning to make sure he got up in time to go to the bank. Then he started crying cos I asked him when he was next coming to see James. Urgh so frustrating.

Aimee & Colsy ~ hope the injections aren't too stressful for you and Earl & Monty. Hope they don't suffer too much with them afterwards. :flower:

Aimee ~ Chloe is suffering with her teeth as well, what kind of gel do you use? We give her a dose of calpol when it gets so bad she can't settle and she sucks on dummies as the two different types of teether she has she just doesn't get yet bless her.

Eswift ~ Yeah work have been very supportive and flexible so they have been good in that respect. Id reached a point on my leave where each month my wage got smaller and smaller so if I was still on MAT leave next month would have been a 50% cut! Doing it this way, using my holiday I can be off for longer on full pay. . . . Hope it's a decent class for you, you might get the free cup as well?! Our Antenatal classes were ok but i was never keen on the groups at the childrens centre, we use to end up sat in the groups whilst waiting to see the MW!

Well, going to pop off for now, got my friend coming over for a natter and a bucket of tea!

Have a good day all x

LK ~ The emotions do get easier, I promise... I hope you and James are well... It's been a bit of an emotional roller coaster all round... With the pregnancy and moving home, 2 of the most stressful situations life can throw at you... I really do hope you can find normality soon... Sounds like James is sleeping well, with the change of milk. Once you start catching up on your sleep things may look different again...

Kte ~ I keep wondering if we'll be able to afford for me to stay off work until Sept, with OH having 7 weeks unpaid this last year we seem to be living rather hand to mouth... My wages buying the food and the luxuries in life... LMAO (Rather small luxuries...) Our saving if that's what you can call them are paying the bills... Mortgage is being paid this month either by an advance of wages or an advance of holiday pay, not sure which... I've plenty of time yet... It'll come around soon enough...

Colsy & Aimmee ~ CC had her jabs last week, boy did she cry... Even got to the point where I think she'd forgotten what she's crying for... LOL Next one is 12 Feb...

Rushed up to the library today, 2mile away; only to get there to find it doesn't open until 2pm... OH can take us when he gets home... I was gonna have a walk to the thrift shop but after needing to use my inhailer this morning I'm staying in the warmth with the central heating... My fitness will soon be back on track doing tricks like that, what a waste...

CC is starting try to sit up now, loves being in her donut ring thing my sister got her for Christmas; gets a little cross when she wobbles too far... Aww bless...

Anyway, big hugs to those that need them...

Colsy - We need to stop this now lol. It's just getting scary. I hope that Monty was ok with them. Earl had a bit of a cry and his legs are obviously sore but apart from that he's fine. Just napping on my lap at the moment- he's probably a little bit more sleepy/grumpy but that's to be expected. Little bit of a temp but he's dosed up so he's fine. I don't know when our second lot will be.....need to ring up and book.

LK - that's brill about James's sleeping. I've started to dream feed Earl at about 11ish, and he sleeps til 7 every morning. I hope you're enjoying the sleep!

Kte - I use Bonjela teething gel. By the time Earl is all 'drugged' up he smells like a fruit salad as the calpol is strawberry, the gel is banana and his gripe water smells sickly too! lol. I have the tommee tippee gummy teethers as Earl hasn't mastered holding objects yet so Ihold it while he chews. I put them in the freezer to chill them and he loves it.

Productive day so far. As well as going to the docs I've put a stew in the slow cooker, washing on, vacuumed and sorted Earl's feeds. :happydance:

Best be off...I'm starving!!!!!!!!

Colsy - We need to stop this now lol. It's just getting scary. I hope that Monty was ok with them.

Thanks Aimee. Our jabs aren't until this evening - just before bedtime really. Not sure whether that's a good or bad thing! Hope Earl is happy :)
