Showed the picture to my bro and he thought she was a year old. Teehee so funny that men think that standing up makes a baby older.

Aherm not all men!!!!

Emma looks a lot older than she is I grant you that though

As damn well should. Though I didthink this prem baby was only a couple of weeks old at the baby and parent group I went to the other week, turns out she was almost a month older than Chloe!! (and we go again this Friday, I cannot wait, I feel so proud)

lol, my girl is a bruiser so women mistake her for being older too :) Nij, that's awesome that you go to the parents groups. My DH comes to Emma's swim classes but sits on the side- only one parent can participate but he'd rather have me go in the pool since it's all mums. He's said that if there was a "daddy-daughter power lifting" class at the gym, he'd go to that :dohh:

Kaites - My goodness she is a grown up looking little lady. :flower:

Hope we're all ok ladies. Not a lot been going on today. I think Earl's growth spurt is slowing as he's been a lot calmer, no night feed last night, and generally a smiley bunny. Here's hoping!

LK - Glad to hear that James is on the mend. Concentrate on getting yourself better :hugs:

Anyhoo's I'm shattered. Off to bed soon I reckon. Got Life in Cold Blood boxset to watch!

Night night xx

Morning all

Well had a full weekend, took Noah to see his half brothers on Saturday. His first time at soft play and he loved the ball pool!!! Then sunday we went out with another couple and their baby. Their little girl is 7 weeks and was almost the same size as Noah

We now all of lurgy, OH is full of cold my head is baning and poor Noah has a horrid cough and cold. That means cancelling his jabs today :grr: again!!!!

All the new avatars are looking great might have to get one of Noah up

Hi all, hope were all well, had a bad few days with George, he had his needles last wk, and then 2 days later he wasnt well, his poor legs were bruised, and he had a bad tummy for 2 days, changing nappys all day!!! then he got a cold, and he was really snotty, his eyes were running, and he was so low, i felt so sorry for him xxx Seems to be picking up now, so hopefully he will be back to himself asap, hope everyone is well and babys too xxx

Morning ladies. Well James is back to his happy loopy self today. He woke at 6am and drained a 6oz bottle, and then has had another 4oz at 9.15am. He is all smiles and giggles. And....nice wet nappies!

Can't believe this. After the past fortnight's dramas, I thought we would settle down again after a relaxing weekend with friends. Unfortunately they got a tummy bug while we were there ... and guess what I then got once we got home? I haven't felt so ill in years, seriously. Touch wood it seems to have gone as quickly as it came, but god did I feel awful. I am not a gastro kind of girl - these things usually pass me by, so I am always very shocked and nervous when I start to feel sick. I just hate puking, it's horrible.

Not really sure how a tummy bug manifests in unweaned babies, as they don't really puke like grown-ups do they? But Monty is defo off his food, he is super-clingy, and crying even when he is being held. Can't do anything right for him - do you ever get this? It kind of gets to the point where you may as well just put baby down cos he is gonna cry regardless of whether he's in your arms or on his playmat or in his chair. So fed up because he had been doing fab fab fab. Even when he had his chest infection last week he wasn't too grumpy about it. And now I feel it's all gone downhill. I am sure I'm being dramatic and tomorrow will be fine. But hey, I just don't like stuff at the moment. Life's a bit crap TBH.

Nights are as bad as ever, but I've given up worrying about that, because I guess just one day he will go back to sleeping longer again. Although if this is the 4/5 month growth spurt, I'd just like to say it's lasted about 4 weeks, which I think is a bit excessive! Any others feeling the same?

And OH - well he had his hosp appt yesterday and they mentioned a scary word that I won't bring myself to type, but anyway he has to go back in what will hopefully be less than a month once they've done the biopsy.

So that's me. Not sure how much I'll be on here for the next few days, as I've not exactly got lots of spare time to fill. I'm sorry I can't respond to everyone else's posts since I was last on. I hope you're all happy and well and playing with your smiley babies.

:hugs: Colsy, sorry to hear everyone isn't well, I really hope your all better soon, I know what you mean about putting them down to cry cause theyre gonna cry anyway, we had to do it with Theo last night :( .... have another :hugs:

:hugs: to everyone else who is poorly or has poorly babies!

Well its absolutely gorgeous here today, really warm!! :happydance: summer is on its way yay! Dropped Grace at the child minders earlier, shes planting sun flowers with them today :cloud9: , Grace absolutely loves CM and her little girl, she was so excited when we went in today  such a relief as I really thought she would be abit clingy and a nightmare!

Sooo just me and the little man today, gotta post some parcels that I sold on Ebay, then hopefully going to see my friend and his newborn...just hope I don't get broody :dohh::haha:

Have a lovely day everyone
xxx

Morning . . .Afternoon all depends when I post this lol

Chloe is teething again so I think thats why she was like she was the other day. She is currently on her play mat and possibly heading for a snooze?!? I don't understand why she will grab out for toys yet she doesn't bother with the dangly ones on this mat, she just stares at them!

I have been off ill today, felt like a wreck last night, not sure why, just felt like I had hit a brick wall. Plus my toilet issue was hurting me again, its on and off. I was awake quite a lot in the night, Chloe was sound asleep! Chloe woke at 6.30 and we got up, me still in my PJ's, fed her and then before you know it it was 7.30 and nap time. I figured I would get some more shut eye too and we both woke up again at 9.20 ~ almost 2hrs! I sure needed it, bless her for letting Mummy catch up on some kip!

I decided since it was baby clinic day to take her there, got her weighed and measured. She was such a good little girl in the waiting room but as soon as she goes in the clinic room she just screams the place down! She now weighs 16lbs and 4oz! (We got a bruiser too Kaites!) Her lenght is aprox 66cm, I say approx as she was fighting the HV and then wee'd all over the measure mat! Bless, ah well shame I can't take her anymore but I bet they are glad! :haha: In the waiting room another lady came in and put her little girl on her knee, Chloe was all giggily and talking to the little girl, I thought 'I remember when Chloe was that small', turns out this little girl is almost 6 months, I thought she was 2-3 months!

Bless, she has fallen asleep on her play mat :cloud9:

Lol Kaites ~ I just envisage a group full of men using their babies as weights stood in unison lifting them up and down! :haha: Emma looks lovely in her spring coat :flower: Was thinking I need to stock up now on Sun stuff for Chloe too, don't want to jinx it but I think we are in for a good Summer this year, this time last year all I can remember is rain, thats how I found out I was PG as we were out all day in the wet and it made me feel awful. This year its been frosty with some nice, but cold, sunshine! Although having said there are some grey clouds appearing as I type!

Aimee ~ Glad Earl seems to have filled up a bit (those hollow legs you mentioned!)

Maffie ~ :hugs: Sorry to hear you are all unwell, hope it clears up soon. Glad Noah had a good time in the ball pool.

Sam ~ Poor George, hope he is feeling much better now :flower:

LK ~ Glad James is back to his normal self :happydance:

Colsy ~ Huge hugs, you really seem to be having a tough time, I really hope it does all ease up for you soon. I get the cry cry cry with Chloe sometimes and just pop her in her moses basked again, wait a bit if she still hasn't settled and then try things again. It can get frustrating I agree. :hugs:

Mellie ~ Enjoy your day out in the sun and visiting your friend.

My tummy is-a-grumbing, food time :) Catch you all later x

Colsy - Huge hugs - I'm so sorry and I hope you're all feeling better soon :hugs:

Kte - Hubby uses Earl to 'bench press' lol. he says it's good as his weight goes up a little every day lol.

Well what a morning!!

Earl had me up and on and off from 3am. Fed him at 3.30 but was still awake every half an hour until 5.30, then woke up at 7 for the day. I was getting a bit narked with hubby as every time I got up he would shuffle into my side of the bed. I would just get him over, get settled, shut my ees and then Earl would cry again and the whole thing would start again! :dohh: Knackered now!

But, he's a very happy soul today. I fed him at 7.30 and then went to the supermarket and left Earl with hubby with instructions that he would need feeding at about 10-10.30. I get back and see the bottle still sat on the side - I'd left at 9.30 and by that time it was 10.45. Earl wasn't crying so I just left him to it. It got to 11.30 and I got impatient and fed him lol. 4 hours and not a blink of a cry! He's due another feed at about 2 but he's quite happy at the moment lol. Leave him to it I say lol. He's had 18oz so far today - he'd normally have had about 28 by now lol.

Hubby made some buns and I made breakfast. I accidentally put too much syrup in hubby's porridge so he wasn't happy with me. Not sure what's up with him tbh. He's being a bit funny with me...could be me though as my meds are still settling in. I've been feeling a bit funny about going back to work. I keep thinking I'm going to miss the entirity of Earl's infancy and toddler years....silly really as if all goes to plan, I'll only be working til December 2011 then taking the whole of 2012 off!!

Colsy :hugs: sounds like you need some of those. Hope everything with DH is ok. I think alot of baby are regressing to past sleep patterns, Noah has had some sleepless times (although the cold he has again isnt helping)

LK glad to hear James is better now.

Sam hope George is better soon.

Kte sounds like you needed the day off.

Aimee having the whole of 2012 off sounds good (will that be coinciding with baby 2?)

Mellie your CM sounds great where did you find her? I need to find one for Noah, looked at Nurseries here but they aren't open early or late enough

Well Noah is doing some impressive mucous sick  even with this cold though he's giggling still (must say when he wakes up crying in pain/discomfort it breaks my heart)

Maffie - She's one of my friends SIL, shes literally only just started out, so i've helped her out in a way by putting my 2 in with her (well Theo will be going as of May), think she is going to be minding one more child when she finds the right one etc, but she is LOVELY, i'm so glad I found her :D ....search around hun, you will find someone, I deff think CM are better than nurseries though, I worked in a nursery for 2 years and well from that, I knew my children were never going to a nursery (Grace will be going to pre school in Jan 2011 but will be talking etc by then so i'm not too worried), CM give them that little bit more of attention and I think they grow a really nice bond, Grace is already saying CM name :D

Kte - Glad you managed to have a nap, think I need one too today! Wow @ 16lb 4oz, I keep meaning to take Theo, its our weigh in today too, 1-3 so might see if we can pop by once Theo is up!

Aimee - Sounds like Earl is getting into a nice 4hr pattern, Theo did this a few weeks ago, he kept refusing his bottles, worked out that he just wasnt as hungry anymore! He too has dropped a few oz too :/ think its okay by this age though? A year off sounds fab - very jealous!!!

I'll only be working til December 2011 then taking the whole of 2012 off!!

Jesus we should all be happy the olympics are coming but taking the whole year off is a little extreme isnt it! lol

Ha ha

Yeah it's because of Baby Number 2 - hopefully we're starting to TTC in May so I could be starting Maternity Leave anytime from December 2011 onwards and I've been promised a full 12 months off seeing as I'm busting a gut working full time while hubby swans around as a student lol (only kidding he deserves it after working all this time looking after us!). On the plus side, Earl will have both of us at home virtually the whole time!

Brocolli and Cauliflower for tea and we ate the lot.

Bit lost now as to what to try next. I have a butternut squash and a tin of peaches to blitz (obviously not together lol) but after that  - what does everyone else give? I need single/mixes that aren't too much effort as I'm planning on starting BLW in a few weeks so I don't need 'recipes' so to speak. I'm buying a load of fruit on payday and making toast toppers lol
