Afternoon all,

We have been out and about shopping this morning, just got in. I have a few things to do in prep for tomorrow then its relax and film time for the family!

I'm so annoyed with Mamas and Papas (although we did get two bargain maternity tops for my Sis as its her birthday soon for the total sum of £5! Why did they never sell everything at £5 or less when I was pregnant and in need of clothes!) Anyway, Chloe got this really nice present from Nij's cousin for Christmas, its called Fleur the flower and it plays 'do, re, me . . .' but it's faulty and doesn't work. We tried it with new batteries and it still didn't work. We took it back today and to get it exchanged but were told we have to take in the receipt, she said because it could have been bought at a normal store (this one is a discount one next to the warehouse). Why should that make any difference? There was only one of these toys left in a half price sale and we wanted and exchange not a refund on something that is faulty. So technically we are doing ourselves out of money for the exchange. But no, so we have had to come away with it. Maybe his cousin still has the receipt but its such a faff sorting it out and there won't be any left. If we do get the receipt then we will get a refund and spend it elsewhere! I used to work in retail and can't see why there couldn't have swapped it for the last one. Idiots. The store and parking are so un-parent friendly too, drives me mad!

Other than that, its been a good day :D

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend :flower:

(Aimee ~ hope you got to catch up on some sleep, thats way too early Earl!)

Morning ladies :)

Maffie- Wow Noah's got quite the head of hair- makes him look older :) He's gorgeous! Emma has finally gone from looking like a monk, to starting to grow a mohawk (hair on top is growing faster than the sides). Couch snuggles are the best :) It always puts Emma in a good mood when she has a nap with one of us.

h702- glad to hear the christening went well :)

Aimee- Hope Earl let you catch a nap :) We're off to the shops later too- I offered to bring dessert to my parents for dinner tonight (and my mum never expects us to bring anything) and then realized we don't have any eggs left for baking. I hate hitting the grocery store on Sundays as it's always mobbed with people.

Kte- that sucks that the store wouldn't let you exchange the toy. I mean it's not like they would be out of pocket for the exchange either. At least you got some bargains for your sister :)

Can't remember if I mentioned it yesterday, but Emma finally rolled over with me in the room :happydance: This time she rolled from back to front (was the other direction before). She's doing some crazy drooling today (actually foaming at the mouth, lol) so I hope we are getting closer to the first tooth cutting. She's been at it for over 2mths now- I never thought it would take this long! I can see a bit of white under the gum near the back but it's been there for a while. I wonder if the back teeth take longer to cut than the front ones? Anyway, I should get going- I need a second cup of coffee before tackling the grocery store :) Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Harry has woken up today with a rank, stucky, icky ear... Got my sis to have a look & she says it looks like a classic infant ear infection. Needless to say he's been upset all day, but confused as well. Like he'll be smiling away & playing with his feet, rolling side to side, & when he goes on the bad ear side, he suddenly yelps & starts crying with proper tears & looks completely heartbroken... So i've spent all afternoon cuddling & nursing him to console him, poor lil dude. Trip to the Dr first thing tomorrow I reckon. Have put him down for a nap now, so hopefully that will help him be happier thisevening... Wont be goinbg swimming this week that's for sure.

Congrats on milesrtones of rolling over, christenings, etc etc... :)

Will catch up better with everyone later.

Poor Harry :hugs: Hope the docs can help clear it up soon :flower:

Quick question all: Can anyone remember if Marmite is okay to eat whilst pregnant? My Sis really wants some but has been given no information from her doctors and doesn't see her MW until this Thursday! So I am guru at the moment for things but I have no clue about this lol Never went near the stuff. She doesn't want to over do it with the yeast if its a prob. I can't remember it being a problem but I just want to double check! Thanks  x

Kte i ate marmite when i was pregnant - not ever heard you shouldnt :)

Ahh poor harry, hope he's feeling better soon.

Chaos i bought that mesh thing from asda and put some pear in it today and sam sucked and gummed the life out of it lol! Ideal as his teeth are playing up at the moment too.

Thanks :flower: My Sis is soooo going looking forward to breakfast now! We worked it out and she is due 1st October too, she a 2010 October bumpkin  Had to copy her little sis for once, its usually the other way around! :haha:

Evening ladies! Man I'm so tired. Quick update on us. James decided that he wanted to stick his middle finger up at the HV and woke up at 3am and 5.30am on Saturday. And then 11.40pm last night, 4am today and was up at 6.45am. So he had some baby rice this morning with my mum and was taking the spoon off my mum to get it in quicker! He ate a whole portion (1tsp rice to 10tsps milk). Must run as pickle is waking up! Catch ya in the morning x

Morning all

Kte ive found M&P to be a pain in the shops my chnage bag zip is bust :grr: cant find my flippin receipt. If you buy onlibe from them they are sooooo helpful.

Noah seems to not be pooing much he went 4 days then did the biggest explosion ever

Hope Harry is better soon :hugs:

Well done Emma on rolling  Noah's hair looks so cute when it curls up in a quiff :haha:

Right time to pump see you later ladies

Maffie ~ If it helps try the shop, they normally keep a record of the sale on pc; that's why they take your post code. Try the shop anyway...

Hope everyone's well... Our Sunday vanished very very quickly... LOL Church in the morning, home lunch, tea and then DS was back at church again... Of all the times for my pram to gain a puncture! LOL

Morning ladies. Well after the whinging and grizzling last night he actually slept through with just 3 dummy replacements lol. Woke at 6.50am, had a bottle at 7am. Took 6.5oz of milk and then half an hour later had a full portion of baby rice again. He certainly likes his food. Every time the spoon comes near he flings his legs around, squeals and grabs for the spoon lol. He is now sound asleep hehe. Put him in the travel cot and sat on the sofa, he had a quick look to make sure I was still there, put the muslin over his face and started snoring lol.

What is everyone up to today? I wanted to take James swimming for the first time but I'm too chicken to go on my own lol. So instead I'm chucking him in the buggy and we are going to walk over to my sisters house and then take the kids to the park. It's gorgeously sunny here this morning but frosty so will be wrapping him up nice and warm.

But before all that I have to wait for my brother to get up so I can help him get ready. He had his sternum broken and moved on Monday so is in alot of pain. He has to wear the lovely TED stockings (the sexy white compression stockings) so I have to take them off so he can have a shower, and then put them back on after he has had his shower. All fun in a guy who is 6ft 6 and has an inside leg of about 35inches lol.

 eswift cant post and lk double posts

M&P will have to wait till we hire a car again as i got t at the discount store.

Has anyone else's baby become clingy? Noah whinges if I leave him and seems happiest with me. It's very tiring when I need a rest

He's sat here clinging onto me like a monkey.

Morning all,

Back in my office and someone has nicked my chair the cheeky gits!

Maffie ~ Chloe has been like that for a few weeks now but she seems to be coming out of it a little _ so long as I am not around. The HV said Chloe was early with this one! I find if I give her to someone she freaks but if she is sat in her bouncer in the same room with them watching (and knows I am around) she is fine. Makes it a little easier. Its normal but I agree, tiring!

LK ~ Enjoy the park! Oo your poor Bro! Enjoy the park with James, sounds like fun!

Eswift ~ Hurray a post! Sounds like a busy Sunday!

Chle decided to wake up at 5.30 this morning bless so we had a nice bit of time together :happydance:

v quick post. Boys are still sick but a bit better. Sleep is awful though. Anybody else's bumpkin baby really regressed on the sleep front? sorry so short, hope you all well and happy xxx

Good morning/afternoon....should be after midday by the time I post lol.

Colsy - Earl's sleep has been off for about a month but he's slipped into a pattern of waking at 5am (bearing in mind we dream feed at about 11 too), then back off til 7ish (7.45 this morning!!) It's better than him being awake from 5.30, but only just as I'm awake or dosing so not really getting much more sleep. Having said that, if I get more than about 7 hours lately I end up with terrible headaches lol. But, I think it's becuase he's so hungry. Even with the solid food (which isn't exactly full of calories) he's taking 7 bottles a day, adding up to anything up to 48oz! He had a couple of days taking around 35oz which I was worried about, but I think it was the calm before the storm lol.

Kaites - Yay for Emma rolling over :happydance:. Earl is on the verge....he kicks his legs, goes onto his side, teeters, chickens out and flops back onto his back lol. :dohh:

LK - Oooh your poor brother. That sounds nasty. Hope he makes a swift recovery.

My news for the day -

1. I went to the Dr's and he says it's either 'normal postpartum type stuff' (ever filling me with confidence there), my aneamia (but he said that as I've not had it before and it was so mild before that unlikely) or indeed I have got the same thyroid problem as my Mum, and my Aunt, and my Gran.....he said that with that kind of family history he would lay money down lol. He took 2 viles of blood and told me to call back on Wed afternoon for the results. If it is then I'm going to have to be put on a mild dose of thyroxine and monitored for 3 months so more blood tests for me....I really really hate them! I have a massive bruise now and everything

2. 1st of March - time to start job hunting lol. I said I would give myself until the end of february to just be 'mummy' and I have had a fab few months, but I've had to accept that it's time to get moving, especially now that hubby is set on his choice of Uni, so Norwich here we come. I have 6 months lol, so it's not exactly urgent, but you've got to start somewhere lol.

Kte and Maffie - Earl is terrible at the moment in that he will cry if I leave him but he will be entertained etc if I go out, ,like this morning, but as soon as I come back he will not go to hubby for about half an hour.....bit embarrasing and feel a bit bad for hubby as he's fine most of the time.

Good morning!

Hope everyone is having a good day :) Emma decided to wake up at 5am and didn't want to sleep anymore- I think a nap will be in order a bit later! Emma usually comes into bed with us when she wakes for her 5am feed and now the cat has clued in that the rest of the family is in the bed and has taken to joining us too- glad we got a bigger bed a few months ago but it's still a bit squishy, lol :)

Flora- I hope Harry is feeling better soon. Poor little guy :hugs:

Maffie- Emma has her clingy days too. Hers are usually related to growth spurts- she doesn't want the boobie lady to stray too far :dohh:

eswift- :hi:

LK- your poor brother! I hope he's doing okay. Enjoy your walk with James!

Kte- hope you found your chair :haha: Must have been a good one for someone to nick it, lol.

Colsy- Emma's sleep always regresses when she's in a growth spurt to the point that I can't even put her down in the pack n play to sleep right beside the bed. She screams down the house to the point of hyperventilating and then is fine once I pick her up. The only place she'll sleep is in the bed with us. It first happened when she went through the 3 mth growth spurt and has happened a couple times since around 4mths (maybe a growth spurt?), and then for one night last week, after her first time rolling. I always get so discouraged when it happens but she's always reverted to a more normal sleeping pattern once whatever was bugging her has passed. Glad to hear the boys are doing better- I hope Monty lets you get a bit more sleep next :hugs:

Aimee- sounds like the docs appt went well. Good luck with your job hunt too! I feel super disorganized about going back to work- it's not for ~6mths for me too but I need to start arranging daycare. I've been putting it off as I really wish I didn't have to go back.

Emma is playing in the exersaucer going bananas, trying to get the cat's attention. Cat just walked out of the room and now she's upset so I better get going- ttyl :)
