LOVELY cakes girls!! Well done!

Tracey, I dont freeze mine either, I find its just like everything and never defrosts as good ......and I have taken to doing just one layer of buttercream too! less work!

I really really fancy some cheese scones and asda didnt have any

So I am gonna make some!

I want to make a plain sponge with Jam too cos I have some madagascan vanilla custard screaming to be eaten ....so cake and custard for pud tomorrow!

I always cumb coat mine, but then i find it easier as i can do it in "stages" when my time is limited between making a cake and watching Brooke

I havent frozen a cake yet, i dont have room either, i either fridge it, or wrap it and put it in my larder as its pretty cold in there

Finished my cupcakes, they came out pretty well, just got to deliver them tomorrow in one piece, i posted some on my wall on FB is anyone wants to see, well it'll pop up on your feed

I made some cupcakes yesterday with pale pink royal icing and little roses on top! There nowhere near as good as some of yours but I’m quite pleased with them – I will post a picture later, I based them on the picture below but they are not as good

Bit of a disaster!
I just put a cupcake ontop of another, buttercreamed it and covered it in blue crystal type sprinkles....... but that one there is done with coconut
I had to put a dowel through the whole thing to support it!

here's a pic of mine....... I never did attempt it again but think once you have tried it it will get easier!

i thought i had seen those cookie monsters somewhere before LOL

i always wonder how they make them so high, because i think a ball of buttercream on the top would be WAAAYY to much n be really sickly! u did right andrea making yours from 2 cupcakes x
also the eyes on the top one, look like white chocolate buttons..
cute though!! would love to try one but i dont like coconut!! LOL!!

wow andrea! They are FANTASTIC!

Think mine are going to hurt out like a nightmare to be honest but ill give it ago…I also think ill cover mine with blue glitter as my friend doesn’t like coconut. Did they taste good?

I don’t know why I agree to do them, I can’t even make normal cakes! oh god, I forgot! I also made a Lego cake for my cousin while I wasn’t on here! What a complete disaster! I won’t post a picture of that on here, too embarrassing against all these!

I cant WAIT till this weekend! Fridays payday, so on Saturday im going to the new cake shop in town, im going to be baking all weekend!

Im doing a chocolate cake with pink polka dots for my mums birthday! Has anyone got any tips on making a large Bow out of fondant?

Also some mini cupcakes with a sugar flower on and blue icing…like in the pic a few pages back…do you girls use glace icing or royal?

nobody ate them!

They were made with oreo cupcakes and vanilla buttercream so they would have tasted the same as the others!

They ended up going in the bin cos I wouldnt let anyone eat them!

Boy am i pleased that i made the cupcakes last night, Brooke has come over poorly in the night so i wouldnt have been able to make them this morning, thank goodness, i would hate to have had to let someone down, but i couldnt risk spreading germs

Well I have 2 of my choc/orange cupcakes left and am itching to make some more, So I have just emailed Ant to see if he can nip to Costco and get a HUGE bag of icing sugar for me

oo andrea forgot to say....u know that kitchen aid u wanted...green apple, i also LOVE that colour (my fav colour is lime green...my front room is brown n green!) but i got out off by this:

now is it just me...or does this colour look NOTHING like it!!

im having the same problem with my sexy boysenberry colour, on the site is looks really deep dark purple, but in real life pics, it looks a lighter more pinky purple not fair!!!

though the candy apple red looks nice too!!

awwww it looks nothing like it!! I wanted the Lime green!! (my fav colour too!)

There is LOADS of 2nd hand red ones on ebay.....wonder why everyone is selling the red ones!

i know its so pants isnt it!! i love lime green too, but that one shown in the kitchen isnt the nice lime green i expected.

well they do 2 red ones...empire red (which cam out first) n is just bog standard red...and then the 90th anniversary addition...candy apple red which seems to have a gorgeous shiny deep gloss to it

The green one looks pea green rather than lime to me
