I'm having cake withdrawl My little brothers bday is on the 25th so I'm going to make him a little individual cupcake cake. I'll make it out of a 4inch chocolate cake so it'll be like a giant cupcake. Nom nom. I'll practise tonight maybe!
boats n planes!! good luck, ive done 2 spitfires....n they are pretty hard to get them to look real LOL
its that cake for the girl who wants everything! with a wine glass on it and a model etc.
im not keen on the idea she has for the 2nd tier decoration but its what she wants...so i have to do it.
she wants black glitter balloons and silver 21's on it....on red icing. i can think of nicer things but i suppose i have to keep the customer happy!! LOL
I have done Laurens cake, it is a square 9 inch with white icing and a big red L in the middle. It looks so plain and not very personalised any ideas on what I could do?
I was thinking of writing Lauren in the middle of the L in white icing and sticking some red stars around the top of the cake?
where on earth do i get ready made fondant in pink (light pink) and brown or bronze - i only need a small amount?! went to my sainsburys which is quite large and they do nothing of the sort.
I am pretty novice in all of this but you can get pink regalice fondant from here, or yolu could get normal white and knead in some red colouring to make it light pink. And for the bronze, if i were you i would get some brown fondant (from the same link) https://www.craftcompany.co.uk/acatalog/Sugarpaste_For_covering_Cakes.html
and then get some gold lustre spray (from the link below) and spay that lightly over it?

sorry if that made no sense...the supermarkets are rubbish for proper decorating supplies, u need a specialist shop.
Hope that helped xxx
thats so odd i just came across that place the craft company and was gonna ask if it was any good! I saw the perfect pink and i might have to do that with the brown to make it look bronzy! are they quite quick with their deliveries?
colouring icing sounds like hard work. its not that im being lazy i just cant see me doing it with a crying 3 month baby! pink and bronze everywhere! lol.
