i have a christening cake to do in a week or so BUT i have seen a cake on a tv programme that i REALLY wanna try so might suprise someone with a cake

I am getting a dab hand at convincing people that cakes I like are what they want!! LOL!

A woman asked for a giant cupcake, I have since told her it would be best as a round topsy turvy cake with a big cupcake on top!!

and a girl off here wanted a cake for her Aunties birthday and I talked her into letting me do one that i wanted to try!!!

With the help of this thread and all your tips and ideas I have finished my first attempt at fondant icing. It's looking a bit shiny, hopefully it'll be okay once it's dried out, should i put it in the fridge?
