LMAO good tip holly!! i have 4 lights in my kitchen, and with the ugly terracota n yellow tiles it probably doesnt help! LOL
thanks hun xxx

mmmmm, youd have to sculpt from scratch!
better to carve too little off, than too much!! so start carving it into a cylinder first just little tiny bits at a time. are u making a seperate cake for the head?

i am, its in the oven just now!
I keep going through, looking at it and walking away!!

Good tip with the icing Holly!!

Yep i use real butter, just no idea why it always seperates. maybe my butter's too warm as its just room temp/kinda warm when i use it. think i'll try and use cold butter tomorrow and see if that stops it from seperating.

do you have to whiten your buttercream icing before colouring it different colours or olny if you want to make it really white?

cakes are looking as good as always ladies :flower:

This guy is really good at combining P+P, mine should have come to £19 odd with P+P but when I asked for invoice it came to £10 and you have different shipping options

He also gave me a code 10% off on his proper online shop

hmmm is this tip true ladies? If you rub fondant on top of fondant i.e. fondant already placed onto a cake it makes it shiny and a clean finish?

I believe it is but you need to wrap a ball of fondant in cling film to rub it on, I've never done it but have read it a few times
