can't believe a baker would have the cheek to deliver a wedding cake that looked like that!

Bloody hell!!! I'd be gutted!

Ok.... so here is cake number 3!! It is a lemon sponge with lemon curd and vanilla buttercream filling.

Kind of pleased with it, although I used the ready rolled icing and it wasn'tbig enough so I had to roll it out more so it wasn't thick enough to give a really smooth edge.
Then there was the duck egg blue stripe! Argh!

Button & Flower Cake!

Get a cake leveler or just cut off the wonky bit so it's flat :D

OOoo it looks fun to make though!

On first glance I think I would mix the main colour for the fondant cut them into small squares then sort of mould it flatter with your fingers to get the not so perfect square look iykwim?

Then I would just pipe on all the different dots and stripes. If you don't want to buy piping nozzles you can buy it all ready made in a tube .

Also you would probably have to work quite fast with the fondant so it doesn't dry out. I would mix up the different colours and wrap them in clingfilm and open to use a certain colour then wrap it back up quickly!

Let us know how you get on!
