Cassandra, great cake! How did you make them just like lego blocks with the bumps/circles on the top?
Tracey, great cakes - I don't know how you have the patience to make the tatty teddy, let alone add clothes to it! Brilliant!

Like i said before they are plain sponge, a little melted choc, strawberrys, fresh whipped cream frosting and a little more chocolate topped off.
I made 24 that were ready at 10ish - there are 5 left (4 people in the house, and a guest had 1)
They are so lovely and light and tasty!

Georgie -
175g light brown soft sugar
150g plain flour
125g butter
1 egg
chocolate chunks/chips
Couple drops vanilla essence
half teaspoon baking powder

Preheat the oven to 180o
Melt butter in a large saucepan then add sugar, stir continuously until totally combined (you cant see any oil sitting on the edge) and the mixtur starts to bubble. Take off the heat immediatley once bubbling. Beat the mixture to cool it down a bit.
Then add the egg and beat rapidly until totally combined. Add the vannilla, stir, then the flour, stir, and then the bakin powder and stir. Check the mixture isnt too hot and stir in the chocolate quickly so it melt slightly but whole chips are still visable.
Plop dollops of the mixture onto a tray with greasproof/baking paper leaving lots of space in between for the mixture to spread.
Bake for 15 mins until a golden brown colour and firm - they will still be soft when u take them out though so leave them on the baking tray for 5 mins after they come out the oven to cool and harden then tranfer to a wire rack to cool.
