Does anyone else feel guilty about the amount of sugar that goes into a cake??

I'm just doing a 12" chocolate sponge and my god theres a lot of sugar in it!! It taste fab but I'm just so shocked! Makes me think twice about gauging out at greggs!

It's my sisters birthday on tuesday and she's a total tomboy lol and plays football etc, so i thought instead of making her a girly cake, i could try and replicate this cake? but instead of the blue icing use pink. but how could i make the football? i don't have a football shaped tin.

Ladies help me please lol

My brother bought me this book today and when I was looking at the recipes it's all in Cups.I have some metal ones which I can use but prefer using grams/oz's.

Do you know any measurements of cups? Ie 1 cup = so may grams/oz's?
