I am so so far away so it’s a fantastic excuse for me to come and meet you all…super excited but super scared! I have never met anyone from the forums before…should we create a thread where we can discuss times etc. I will need to leave super early as it will take me 3 hours to drive to there…

Can anyone tell me if there's anything special I need to do to make little toppers for a cake from ready coloured fondant or can I just use the fondant as it is to model whatever I need?

I think you can make toppers as it is but better to add gum trag to it, I've never used it myself but I've read on here that it makes it easier to model with....someone correct me if I'm wrong!

Cake suppliers hun, its a powder form you knead it in with the fondant then model away!

Well I've done some for a 9 year old boy today, mum was pretty vague about what he liked so I winged it
You've seen mine before, usually delicate.pretty and girly, so was a challenge for me, anyway I am soooo pleased with them.

great idea...im going to do my OH'S nephews 10th b day and he wants blue and green as hes getting to old for character stuff but young where hes not really into cars and things like that yet so maybe i could just do something like this....what did u use to get the colors so bright?

It was a bit of a science experiment really

I used Superwhite at first so the buttercream wasn't a creamy/yellowy coulour

For the blue I just added a bit at a time of ice blue until I liked the colour

For the green I started with a bit of holly green
