They were just vanilla :)

I briefly thought about that too as I remembered what Jack was like when he ate a rainbow one and was a bit under the weather :sick:

The toppers look great, do they stay looking like that or do they bleed/melt slightly
 
no actually they really stay like that.. then again the icing dries out after a while anyway.. but they dont bleed or melt/wilt. Theyre fab!

I have them still in a tupperware box and they look just the same.. just ate the blue horseshoes one :munch:

Fantastic I'll have to stock up :)

I'm just experimenting with my new snowmen and Tree silicone trays, tried last night but went a bit wrong :blush:

I'll post finished results some time in the week x
 
I'm still awaiting my good nozzle. So here are my amateur efforts :blush: The bottom two were done with no nozzle, just the end cut off the piping bag.

ok so I'm going to attempt my sons 1st birthday cake just after xmas and its 2 tier.

The top tier is 8 inch in sky blue and bottom is 12 inch in light green.

Any ideas how much icing it'll take to cover each tier and where i can get these colours in this amount from?

I'm not very good with quantitys but I would get too packets of each colour to be on the safe side, you could buy some sugarflair pastes to mix the colours your self or you could buy ready coloured although I have only ever used the brighter colours, but you could knead them in to white to make them lighter.

There is a list of online shops on the first thread that we buy from so you may find the colours you need in one of them x

Did anyone see Kirstie and Phils perfect xmas the other night? The cake queen Peggy Porschen was on it making mini xmas cakes, they were uber cute!!!

Oooh that is the start of a slippery slope :lol:

I got the moulds from a book club that comes to work, it was a twin pack with snowman heads but They failed on the test run and didn't have time to redo them.
1 tip though if you get some, is let them cool for about an hour as they are a bugger to get out
