Wallie - they are fab x how do you make them???

It's just cake made into crumbs mixed with some butter icing. Then make them into balls, refridgerate and then dip into candy coating. They were my first attempt and took ages. Also I didn't have enough candy coating so used white chocolate for some. Have a look at Bakerella.com, she does them and I have her book.

I am going to attempt cake pops soon! I did try once but it was a disaster so when I have a free afternoon with no kiddies I am gonna give it a go.

Where do you all get your cupcake design ideas from ? Is there a book anyone can recommend? :)

Mummytobe - I just google cupcakes & click images x

Girls, just made my cupcakes but used normal cake cases but they don't look big enough x do you guys use muffin cases or normal cake cases? Or are there specific cupcake cases you can buy??

im rubbish at attempting to recreate them :( I look at them and think they look too hard

Yeh definitely use muffin cases and make sure you have a muffin tray to place them in whilst cooking, they keep their shape better.

Thanks ladies x looks like I'll be remaking my cupcakes today then lol x is there a specific recipe you use for basic cupcakes??

Mummytobe, dont give up! I was terrible at first and I am not perfect but I am getting there..

I had loads to do this weekend and next weekend is also a busy one.. Hopefully MIL can have the girls. I have deserved my indian takeaway tonight lol

Reedy, I use muffin cases and I prefer greaseproof.

Here are some I did

They are fab Laura x I love the Birthday ones x

My Easter cupcakes turned out quite well really x Made 18 & there are only 3 left lol - spent the day at my parents & there were 10 of us all together lol so I didnt eat them all to myself, I only had one x
We scooped some of the middle out of a few & added lemon curd, I wasnt a fan but my sister loved them (she had 3 lol)

Will try and post pics again in a bit, its not letting me do it at the minute x

Hi ladies,

A friend of a friend has asked me to do her christening cake and I'm use to doing a one tier. The ones in the pictures below are a two tier and three tier. Any ideas on how much you would charge for these? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :flower:
