Such a gorgeous colour. Where is that from?

You can all see my cupcakes here https://www.facebook.com/WilfredyMp?sk=wall#!/pages/Cupcakeys-Cupcakes/129022000500389

Cant be bothered to upload any pics today.

With the food hygiene cert do you just need the level 1 one or do you need more??
Didnt realise you needed so much to make cupcakes x
Where do you get the insurance from & is it expensive?? x

Oh and I made Banoffie pie cupcakes yesterday which went down really well with my taste testers (my family)
I did a banana bread recipe for the cupcakes then cut out a hole in them & filled with toffee sauce then piped cream on to them, then put toffee sauce on the top, crushed digestives & a dried banana piece dipped in chocolate x

i just used a normal red colouring and kept adding till I go the colour I wanted

Ladies! Some questions :flower:

What food colouring do you use? I have natural red liquid colouring and I can't use too much as it makes icing really quite sour!

Can you recommend me some edible glitter?

What cut outs/embossers/letter cut outs do you use and where do you get them from?

Where do you get your icing sugar? I have a cash and carry card, do you get it from a cash and carry?

And what do you do/use to stop cakes sticking to the damn tins!

I'm trying to build up my baking collection and want to have a good start ready for the next stream of family and friends birthdays and there's so many places and brands and I am so confused! :dohh:

Also what whitener do you use?

Here's my last attempt at a giant cupcake, I was going for a little cottage with a grass roof lol...

Hiya girls!

Thought I'd share this weekends trial of the wilton 1m tip that I bought on the spur of the moment plus some random almond cuppies that I made too - it's the first time I've ever iced anything so be gentle!!

Thank you hun! First time I have picked up a piping bag since home economic classes! I went to tesco this afternoon and went mental with every type of glittery sugary thing they sell for cakes so no doubt I will be back soon with some more :p

RAIIIIINBOWWWW!

Orange those are great. The roses are fab. You'll want to assume you have to pip about 2mm past the edge of the cake case to get the swirls to cover the whole thing xxxx

Wow nice rainbows ladies!!

I am in so much trouble - I went shopping today and found quite a few bits and pieces I simply had to have (star and flower fondant cutters, fondant rolling pin, icing colour pastes, a Joseph Joseph chop2pot extra). Please tell me I'm not the only one who's always in the pooh for buying "stuff"?

Ooooh love the rainbow cupcakes :cloud9:

Im kinda getting away with my buying just now as I plan on starting up markets for some pocket money :haha: not sure how long its going to last.

My gran is coming up tomorrow to go through some major sugarcrafting with me :wohoo: most things I can do from watching you tube but nice to be shown like this too. My gran owned quite a big wedding cake company, its really sweet she's dead exited there is someone else in the family taking on cakes :cloud9:

I see the rainbow cupcakes on UK cake appreciation, they are so cool ladies!

I am starting my 100 toppers for SIL wedding this afternoon.

They decided on a large pink gerbera and a small ivory gerbera with a pink heart with glitter.

MIL is having the girls so I can do it in peace, think by the end of the evening my neck is gonna feel pain :haha:
