I washed my hands in freezing water after every second cake lmao and popped the bag in the freezer

I gave up on the fondant lol did buttercream instead

To make spotty icing, roll out your base colour first then set little tiny balls of the coloured icing on it, then roll over thetop of the whole thing with an icing-sugared rolling pin (so it doesn't stick.) Roll evenly up/down and left/right (turn the whole thing and always roll up/down if that makes sense) to keep the spots rounder. They will go a bit long/ almond shaped if you roll more to one side than the other but it'll still look ok.


Stripes you use the same technique but you must roll it very very evenly if you want the stripes to look straight.

Lovely cupcakes girls!

I am doing 24 cupcakes for a friends Jeans for Genes day at work, she is buying some from me at cost price and she will be selling them on to make some money for the charity!

She said just plain swirls will do but I'd like to add something different to them!

Any ideas welcome!!!

The easiest thing that's related to Jeans for Genes that pops into my mind is buttons. Still simple as long as you have a mould, but should do the trick and I think most people will get it as long as they're aware of Jeans for Genes day.

Other thing would be to do blue icing / fondant and put a zip in them?
