Hi ladies, amazing cakes as usual!
Just thought I'd post pics of a tangled cake I did for Serens bday.
Tbh my interest in baking is dwindling at the moment because I've had a couple of nightmares! The tangled cake I did the night before and I had a tough time with the basics, the fondant was tearing so bad I ended up having to cover it up with a second layer of fondant, and patch it up with buttercream making the cake look a bit of a mess. I finished the cake at 1am and I was so tired I attempted to move it with the tower on it, bad move, tower collapsed and I spent the next 3 hrs fixing the cake, and ended up with a wonky tower. Nightmare!!!! Seren loved it though which is the main thing!

You really are too kind! I thought the day after I should've done step by step pics, gutted I didnt now! It was alot easier to make than anticipated though, im just terrible when I make cakes I cant make one without some kind of disaster lol xx

Hello ladies! I havent been on and baked for ages! I have some coming up at the end of the month for the twins 3rd birthday party. They are gonna be really cool bright colours and a big bright indulgence cake for the family

Emmy, they are really different! I like them.

Blob, I don't know much about the Kenwood mixer, but I imagine performance wise they'd be pretty similar to each other? I personally much prefer the look of the Kitchenaid though.

Laura, what is an 'indulgence' cake? Or is it just a cake you've made for no particular reason?

Has anyone used the Craft Company choc cigarillos? Are they any good? They're only £12.95 a box and have a buy 2 get one free offer on at the moment, so I might get some to keep in.
