I use corn flour to roll my icing on, it's easy to dust off after it's been put on the cake then lol.

Got an order of 35 cupcakes for Monday, so that's my day off today and Saturday filled nicely lol bless my OH, he likes to leave telling me these things until the last minute, have had to order boxes with next day delivery so that's made my profits go down lol oh well, she doesn't want them decorated fancy, just simple pink cupcakes which will be nice and easy peasy (hopefully...)

I always run out of boxes lol. I'm terrible. That reminds me that I do need to order more though..
I've got a busy few weeks coming. Baby shower cupcakes this weekend, then next weekend I have some funky coloured 3rd birthday ones to do and then I have the cake show and then I have mothers day! Busy busy! I love the topper Midori.

Ohhh I want to go to the cake show! I'm working that whole weekend so couldn't even try to sneak off to it lol

Uhhhh I've been given complete freedom with flavours for these cupcakes, not sure what ones to do! Definitely doing some vanilla, not got a lot of cocoa powder left over so not sure if I can stretch to chocolate

Here's some of the ones I've been doing recently. I'm not really advertising for business anymore - I haven't got enough time to properly put into them, and feel guilty if I do a bodge job! I've got one customer who I've done a few for and has booked me up for all her celebrations this year, and then I'll just do friends and family.

^^ waow the are AMAZING! If you don't mind me asking, how much would you charge for a single tiered cake? I make a lot of cakes just for family members but they cost me a fortune to make so I'm thinking of starting to charge!

Cocoa - Ah thats a shame because your cakes are always lovely. At least you will still get to do some though through family and friends!

Eeeeek, just 12 days to the Cake Exhibition! I'm so excited, I booked my tickets in August last year so I have waited ages for this! Mum is coming with me!

Amymarx - I usually just charge a bit more than it costs to make if it's family - £15ish normally.

The ones for customers I usually charge about £25. But I live it a pretty poor area and most people begrudge paying that when they can get a perfectly good cake from asda for £8-10

Louloubabs - fab cakes - I particularly love the teapot!

Laura - have a fab time at the show! Bet you'll come back soooo inspired!
