I did not in any way make this. But I stole it from that site you posted Andrea. This is the kind I wanna make!! Next week will be my first attempt and doing some decorating.

pinkgirl I LOVE those muffins u decorated....they look so yummy!!! u did a great job.

wendino....i say make it!!! cant wait to see pics!
i dont know how advanced u are with making cakes but just thought id say u will need some dowels inside it coz it wil be heavy! they just stop one cake from sinking into the next one.
this one would make a great 1st birthday for a girl too...might be easier than a 3 tier:

I'd love to be able to make a cake like that, but i wouldn't have a clue where to start.

Yeah I am thinking 2 tiered with a cupcake on top. :D I am good with making the actual cake, its the fondant that I have never made so I am gonna have a go with that.

I am going to try for something like this.... maybe not as detailed but we are hopefully (weather permitting having a garden party for Daisy's 1st so I want one with Daisies (obvious reasons!!) and little bugs!

Nutty Mummy that me to you cake is amazing!!! You are so clever!

OOoo I love playing with fondant icing! It's like moulding clay only easier!

Where do you all get your stuff from?
Advice, i'd love to try and bake a funky cake i.e. the ones above, although i think start off with just one.
Now is that one big cake, or 2 sandwich cakes? Also what do i need to make one.

i have seen that site TJG....they are all so brill!! and very proffesional!
i dont have a piping bag (used to have loads but all they did was split!!)
i just use greaseproof paper.....cut into a triangle, then folded over to make a bag. snip the end off and drop your piping tip in the end. great thing about it is, u can have a few colours ready all at once, and theres no washing up!!!

i dont really use piping that often....but needed to for this one....it took AGES!!!!

Hello ladies!
Just stumbled across your fab group and feeling well and truly inspired!
Have decided that I'm going to make my hubby a birthday cake, going to bake it saturday so i've got a few days to plan, but in desperate need of some help, i'm going to make a standard chocolate sponge, with chocolate icing in the middle but I want to go OTT with the decorating (got to practise for Erin's first birthday cake!). I'm thinking a small two tier cake, covered in fondant icing, thinking maybe different coloured blue stripes or something but I'm at a loss for tin sizes and the correct 'sized' recipe for each tin. So any help or ideas would be hugely appreciated!!! xxx

Made the other day - 'twas uber yummy!
