I can't cook very well but I wanted to post the cake my mum made (from scratch) for Savannahs christening. She did the decorations and everything.

Indeed, she's very talented. She did a cake decorating course when she had me while on maternity leave and that was the first cake she's decorated in 20 or so years.

its finished now....just need to get some pictures sorted!! im so glad its finished, ive been stressing about this cake for months!! its for a footballer so no pressure!!

Btw, just looked on your facebook group and WOW! your cakes are stunning!! How do you advertise, or is it just word of mouth? I've made a few birthday cakes etc, and was interested in selling more... but now I've seen the competition I think I'll hang up my pinny!

dont be daft orange-sox!! i think some of my cake are awful....especially as i was starting out with no equipment whatsoever!!! stick with it!!
i dont advertise, it was all through family and friends at first, then word spread! one of my friends made a group for me on facebook and i seem to have got more off that too....try making a group on there will some pics in!!
