Ohhhh wow! Leanne....how do you get your buttercream two-tone like that?

you put the main colour u want in the piping bag first then which ever other colour u want :flower:

What sparkles do you use Leanne? Love the thick piping...reminds me of a big yummy whippy ice cream :)

Im sure I read somewhere about using sandwich bags for an icing bag? I bought a tala icing bag kit from argos and it split last night.....
 
Oh i have some of that in Pink...but wasn't sure about using it after what TJG said about it not really being edible..
 
i just buy ready made disposable piping bags from the cake shop near mine, you can do them urself but i can never figure it out x
 
Has anyone used/got the piping sets from Lakeland?

I'm looking for a 1M nozzel (or very similar) but everywhere seems to be out of stock?

We've got a lakelands near us too and i'm going on sunday to stock up on tools and supplies whats the best type of icing bag/nozzle for frosting cupcakes? Thankies :) x
 
Ok promise not to laugh this is my first attempt at using fondant EVER! It's so emabarrasingly shocking but it was fun its a chocie cake just experimenting before lilly's birthday next week so need lots of practice little elephant on the top if you can make that out very rough just wanted to practice with fondant and put some m&ms and ribbon on at the end just to add some colour as we had no colouring in lol.
Oh yeah, also put my thumb through the fondant so you can see that at the bottom don't ask! Shall i bother carrying on? haha

ohhh thats not bad!!! I havn't got to the fondant/icing stage yet.....I'm still on the baking the sponge bits, although I want to have a go at doing this next...just not sure how to go about it...waiting to TJG next lesson!

great cake!!!! well dont on the modelling too!! you should paint coloured squares on it coz it reminds me of elmer!!!
