Can you buy actual fondant animals ready made? I want to do an easter cake but want edible bunnies/chics on it....not clever enough to do them myself yet.
 
yep they are called claydough, or you might fine someone on ebay that makes them :)
 
or recommend a good book....I fancy having a go myself too:thumbup:
 
no idea about books! I've never used a cake decorating book (thank god for the internet!)

I made my first wee sugarpaste man last night! :rofl:

I'll post some pics in a wee while, he is still split in half and drying out though!

sorry lol just had to share...im sick atm but as soon as im better i know where im going.
Apparently the lday who works there is lovely as well so im hoping to possibly worm a little lesson on covering cakes in fondant from her as the place is meant to be very quiet.

Oh my god has anyone tried using morrisons food colouring the natural food colouring i didn't think anything of it and went there to get some to stock up and they are so rubbish and taste horrible compared to tesco one's was so gutted. Just sent OH out again to get some proper ones the red just went a brown colour and they taste so bitter. Why oh WHY!? lol x
 
I used a Dr Oetker yellow colouring today at work an it was more orange than yellow????
I love the Silver Spoon colourings and flavourings but can only find them at Sainsburys.
 
I always use colour pastes rather than food colouring liquid in bottles.
