Aww- I hate to see someone called optimist losing hope and currently feeling 'crappy'!

I'm only on my 3rd cycle and still somewhat recently off the pill, so I'm not at the tired of TTC/losing hope part yet (though my last cycle was almost 80 days long which was mega-irritating).

Earlier this year, OH had mono but didn't know what it was and got really depressed/anxious about feeling like he might never get fully better or that he might not be able to do all the sporty active things he likes to do again. Recently he's pretty much declared himself better and we were talking about how if someone had told him that he would definitely get better by Oct, he would have just lived with it and been much happier. Then we were saying how when we were single before we met, if we could some how know that we would eventually find each other, we would have relaxed and enjoyed those single days more (well, more for him- I did enjoy my single days!). So we decided to try to take that approach with TTC where we are going to assume there is a date in the future where we'll have a baby (hopefully two) so we can enjoy just being together now more.

But- that being said, we haven't been trying that long so we'll see if we still have this positive approach in 6 months time or if some medical issue pops up!

Welcome newbies! I am now officially at the one year mark ttc. I went through all the testing last cycle and met the fertility specialist yesterday and I am starting clomid and IUI this cycle. He asked if we wanted to wait - but we have been waiting a year already - lets go!!

My tests came back normal but hubby's numbers were slightly low. We are going to try IUI for a couple of cycles before deciding on IVF.

Not looking forward to the clomid but it increases the chances - so here we go!

Good luck! Sounds like you have a great plan. I did clomid for a few cycles and had absolutely no problems tolerating it so hopefully you'll be the same!

I know. In a much better place today. We have been actively TTC for 7 months and hope was wavering for us. Have an appt on Veterans Day--which happens to be my dad's birthday--fingers and toes crossed for good news then. OPK this week. Should ovulate in the next few days and BDing shall ensue.

Don't lose hope! Keep your head up and hopefully we will be mommas soon. I'll be thinking of you.

Make sure you BD up to the positive opk as well. Good luck, FX for you!!! I've read a lot that BD'ing 2-3 days before positive opk is very important.

This thread got quite lol... Well in the TWW here.. not very hopeful this month.. was only able to do one AI and it was a day before O so.. just waiting for the to show so maybe we can try for a Christmas baby.. how is everyone?

Hey hun! How was the wedding and honeymoon? Sucks you only got one AI in but all it takes is one time. I'm in the 2ww too!! 11dpo today. Tested yesterday only because it was my mom's bday but bfn.
AF should be here Wednesday but praying she stays away!!

I might test tomorrow....but trying to hold off. Not really feeling good about this first iui attempt and so want to hold off to see the negative.

Hey!! Everything was amazing!! Had the best time at both Everyone told me I had a smile on my face the whole night I think my face should have been hurting and our honeymoon was awesome we had a great time.. lost alot but did alot of site seeing and went to the grand canyon and it was soo beautiful!!!

Yeah one AI sucked but Amber was sick the night we should have had our first AI then the donor was sick for the night of the second one so just happy we got one.. but not getting my hopes up.. not even going to test.. just waiting for

Awwwww that's awesome, glad it went well and you two made memories you will never forget. Hope Amber is feeling better. I know the feeling, I think I'm getting a cold blahhhh. Lots of head stuffiness and can't breathe. 9am here and haven't been to sleep. Hoping the nausea eases up so I can sleep

AF seems to be on her way for me too- yesterday my cervix dropped and I had spotting, today a massive temperature drop. So I'm just waiting for the full flow and suffering from cramps! But, the good news is my cycles seem to be getting more regular!
