Em, I didn't think you were bragging at all. It's great to have your priorities straight on what you feel is important for your child.
And I had some help from my parents, savings from my summer jobs and a scholarship, so I was great for my degree. It was theatre school that landed me in debt.

But I got out of it pretty quickly.
$24.5k was tough to pay off, but I am so proud that I did.
My point earlier was that, if incomes were going to rise along with tuition rates, then maybe putting savings away wouldn't be as important. If incomes stagnate, then the predicted huge rise in tuition means that a lot of kids will not have a choice at all. And that could include trade schools.
I want Simon to have choice. As long as it's education, the money is there for him to use. It won't cover everything. He'll need to deal with a lot of it himself, but I think it may become the difference between any post-secondary or none. A bit grim, I know, but I would rather be prepared.
By the way, Amanda, I loved that video. I had the biggest flashback of my pregnancy watching your belly move like that.
Wendy, I have to tell you that your story made me floss a lot tonight. I am a terrible flosser. I really hate doing it and then I hate it when I get lectured for not doing it at the dentist. I know it's stupid and that I really should be more vigilant about it, but it's one of my secret hates!
