Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

It was super early, I went back to bed a couple minutes after I posted. Peter woke up and came downstairs to see if I was ok so I just went upstairs with him and crawled into bed, hacked my lungs out a bit more and then fell asleep.

Sara :hugs:

Thank you Sarah :hugs: I'm glad you got home safely! Laundry and cleaning can wait, you've had a busy couple of days!
I'm sure it was fun to watch Tobe eating the porridge though right? Totally worth it lol
I love the booster seat because I can take it off the chair and just spray it down in the sink lol

Amanda I wish I was there to help! :hugs: Maybe trade baking for people for cleaning help? lol

Vickie that hour sounds like heaven! I swear the most reading I'm able to get done is when I spend time on the toilet lol
<----Pure class :winkwink:

Reba, Sara, Rach-- :hugs: :hugs:

I am soooo done today, only thing is- it's 1:30pm and I have to work 5-11. Good thing dinner for today was cooked last night and the house isn't *that* messy (though I can 100% relate to the "why bother?" because everytime I pick up 1 toy 3 more come out it feels like)...

Hi Monkeypooh, baskinps & vikki22!

I just skimmed… sorry I’ve not been on long over the past few days as they have been quite busy.

:hugs: Reba, Rach, Sara, Wendy, and anyone else who I may have missed.

Hope unpacking goes quickly Sarah.

I need to do laundry as well but B just went to sleep and I don’t want to disturb her right now with turning everything on since it is right outside her room and I am usually too scared to go down there when she is sleeping lol.

We have the same issue here Sara, although thankfully work has slowed down for OH (shitty financially but nice to have him home) and I have been making him get up with her as well the past couple of days. I hope you are able to get some rest and a bit of a break soon. :hugs:

Sorry I missed Alora’s birthday, hope she had a great one!

That sounds like a lovely hour Vickie.

Well now off to update my neglected journal.

Sorry you have to work tonight Tasha :( Hopefully the night goes quickly! :hugs:

Lisa I'm the same way, once she's asleep I tread lightly when I go upstairs because I don't want her to wake up lol
I always wanted to get her use to noise, and she pretty much is but I'm still afraid she'll wake up and ruin my 'time off' lol

It's the same here, I put her to bed and the washer or dryer are going which is fine but I am too scared of startling her or something lol.

Hope your night goes quickly Tasha.

I'm lucky because my washer and dryer are downstairs but I avoid going upstairs to get anything done while she's napping lol

I avoid upstairs during nap but Hannah can sleep through anything at night as Tiff will begrudgingly attest to

I've been doing a lot of reading since I can't work out any longer  I guess I should enjoy it while it lasts

hope your day gets better Tasha!

Sorry to hear hubby's work has been slow (well at least for the money aspect of it) Lisa :hugs: but it's great that he's spending more time with you and baby B right now

It's one of those situations where you never seem to win lol. It goes from way to busy to way to slow! Atleast it didn't come as a complete surprise though.

So apparently those Duggars are having number 20 in April.
Does a baby book even have enough J names in it? They're going to start naming their kids Jstephen or something.

I don't really follow the show, but I thought baby #19 was born really premature. That would make me think twice about having another.

I just visited a local mom with 5 month old twin girls and it scared me a little. :( They were pretty fussy and she didn't have any other kids to deal with either. Some days I feel in a little over my head. She did give me a giant box of baby clothes for free though, which is super cool

Just gotta think each day "this won't last forever" (the needy baby stage) Just take it day by day. I know I just have Elliot, but I find that helps me. Or I say something hilarious like "Go suck an egg" when hes being whiny and I instantly feel a bit better

LOL - wendy, i think i have told J to cry me a river before, or to suck it up buttercup  it does make u feel better!!

Swimming was good, run was good... I actually made my gingerbread dough (well one batch, will do the other when tim comes in)

You will do just fine, amanda! My sister had twins and was single with no hubby or family close by to help. She has managed :D I babysat them one afternoon alone and it was quite the day. They werent fussy but it was busy enough feedng/changing/rocking them... and quite monotonous because thats all did haha... change, feed, rock... repeat with baby 2.

You have tonnes of help and support from family though, you are extremely fortunate and you will do just fine.

Hi ladies! :hi:

Yeah I don't watch '19 (20?) kids and counting' either but the last baby was really premature, and in the hospital for like 4 months. :( There's no way I'd be having a another child after that! :nope: I wouldn't want to risk going through it again. Clearly her body has had "enough" I think. :sad1:

Amanda - I agree with Joss, you'll do just fine. :) I can't speak from experience, but I remember my Nana telling me about when she had my Uncle and Dad (they're twins, and have TWO older siblings) that it was difficult but you always find a way to survive. And you will. ;) And like Wendy said, it doesn't last forever. Time goes surprisingly fast, even if it doesn't always seem like it at the TIME. Before you know it, those twin girls will be toddlers running around! :)

Big :hugs: to anyone else who needs them. Sorry if I missed you, I'm very absent-minded these days...

Nothing new here. I'm pretty tired. I just want this week over!!! Working has been really hard this week, its just wearing me right out. :(

Oh, and Alora is officially walking! :) She took her first steps October 25th but now she's actually walking around. :cloud9:

Ack! Kate! I missed Alora's birthday!!
Sorry!
Hope it was wonderful! :cake:
And way to go on the walking, Alora!

No worries Sarah! I don't expect everyone on here to remember all of our kids' birthdays! That's just craziness!

Oh how could I have forgotten this? Jasmine called 9-1-1 the other day  we went to my aunts (my mom is stayng there until she moves)... And they got this phone from my great uncles house that had one of those buttons that has a red cross on it. And they just assumed it called red cross... So Jasmine picked up the phone and pushed that button and it dialed 911... so my mom grabbed it and hung up... 2 second later the operator called back asking if someone had just placed a 911 call.

So the had to send a police man to investigate, I didnt see it because I had to leave to give a lesson. He was asking a bunch of questions though and was asking Jasmine why she called 911 and stuff in case she was a victim of child abuse.

Really??!!! We've called 911 before from work by accident (because you always have to dial 9 to get out, plus 1 then the number so it happens on occasion :haha:) and the operator just calls back and asks questions. We've never had police actually come over or anything.

My stepdad ALWAYS pocket dials 911 somehow haha and they ALWAYS come out to the house. I dont get why he doesnt lock his phone lol
