Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Yay for getting a good night of sleep Sara! :happydance:

B slept from 10:30pm to 2:00am, not as great as the night before but I will still take it. I was exhausted though so ended up bringing her into bed with me to feed and that's where she stayed for the night but she only woke a couple of times after that until we got up around 7:00am.

OH is at the Rememberance Day ceremony right now and I would have liked to go, I feel bad not going this year and last year (last year I wouldn't have been able to stand for it and there aren't many seats there).

I love describing things as a mofo' :haha:

That's awesome that she slept Sara!

Sorry you had to miss the ceremony Lisa. :( I had to miss ours as well, I'm CRAZY sick (again, FML!!!) and am in no shape to watch Claire. Since its snowing so hard it isn't okay to take Claire to the Base so we're staying home. :( After her nap P will go out with her to put our poppies on the cenotaph at Base Borden.

So I said "man it's snowing in Barrie" and Hannah asked about it and I said "it's where Tiff lives" and she asked "Where Tiff dances" I just agreed

yay for sleeping babies!

Not sure what we're doing today. T wants to go to Fantasy Fair but I'm waiting to see if Hannah's mood improves after eating (she's been soooooooooooooooo cranky this morning) and seeing if I can get rid of my headache before committing

 Think she was remembering Dance Central? :haha: If so that's a crazy good memory your kiddo has!!! :smug:

Hope her mood improves. :hugs: Mine is enthralled with the snow and wants to go outside in it but stellar parents that we are we don't have proper snow boots yet. Honestly thought we'd have a few more weeks before it came!

Hope you feel better Tiff. You seem to be getting sick alot lately, maybe you need a few days off to just rest and take care of yourself although I know that's not easy with a toddler either.

Hope the snow slows down for you guys.

I really need to haul out B's winter stuff and see if any of it is going to actually fit her as she is tiny for her age, she is just growing out of 3 to 6 month stuff so I'm thinking the 12 month snow suits aren't going to be fitting her very well which sucks.

I know. :( Its ridiculous how sick I've been lately. Must be a combo of the stress of everything going on and whatnot. I've been really good too with washing my hands/using sanitizer and taking all my multi vitamins. :argh:

Hannah has been wearing a size 2 jacket all month :smug: If you want to talk about great parenting (she's in 4s now :haha:) Oh yeah  We also need to buy her snow boots this month

I doubt I'll be out in the snow much with her though, Stan is scared to death I'm going to slip and fall :dohh:

I think maybe she's remembering your wedding???

No snow here!

Not going to a service, but I love how Brians grandparents who complain so much about people not wearing poppies, etc are sleeping in and missing the service for the second year in a row...

We went for a walk and talked about the soldiers. I will try a service next year, I think.

I'm jealous for the snow. It's chinooking here and very warm. I want to get my skis out! :)

No snow here... it was pouring rain all night... but now it seems to have slowed down. I'm about to go turn on the tv to watch the Victoria service. DH is still sleeping. I think I kept him up a lot last night with my coughing. Hope everyone has a good weekend. My brother is coming over for lunch which will be a nice treat for us.

I agree with you Tiff - what is with getting sick so often? I've had two colds in two months now. I've been taking vitamins and washing hands... I blame working at an Elementary School. Kids are so germy!!

For anyone contemplating going to a service for Remembrance Day I highly recommend it! Of course with little ones and typically it is never nice weather on Remembrance Day to begin with plays a huge factor. I only started going with P and his family when we started dating and now I can't believe I haven't gone before.

Its totally worth it if you can figure out a way to get to one.

Well, you guys and your snow can KEEP IT! Thats all I have to say! Its cold enough to snow here :cold:... but I haven't seen any yet.

YAY to babies who slept good last night! :)

I just ran out this morning to the mall for a bit with my Mom and the girls. It was nice to get out, and just relax. I never feel like I have time because my weekends are always so rushed now that Im working fulltime!

I was surprised. When I was at the mall they didn't even do the 1 minute of silence at 11am. Normally, at least when I've been there before, they announce it and everyone stops for a minute. But not today. I dont even know where the ceremonies are in this city either. :sad1: I'm still learning these things up here...

Aww Kate, no big deal! I found the Events Calender for North Bay, looks like the ceremony is held at Memorial Gardens. Here in Barrie they have it at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier downtown, but we go to the one on Base Borden.

Snow has finally tapered off! Gotta love living in the snow belt. :haha: P and C are off to do the poppy thing, I'm sitting here feeling sorry for myself. How is everyone today?

My whole little family has a cold. Lots of coughing, sneezing, and snotterfalls (haha! I just made that up!)
I'm nursing Tobe in hopes that he has a really good nap.
Poor old husband is trying to play playdoh with Simon, as it's a quieter activity. Two-year olds don't always know when they're sick and should rest. Simon is bouncing around as usual. :eyeroll:
Husband has the chills and is looking pretty rotten. He called in sick to work, which he very rarely does, so I think he must be feeling pretty horrible.

I just need more sleep. I stayed up way too late getting a script revision done and I'm starting to get that late afternoon fatigue.
