Canadian Moms & Moms to be!

Oh dear
Sorry to hear Tiff (I feel your pain, literally)
Very sorry to hear Sarah :hugs: (but not close hugs no sharing germs!! ;))

So I'm trying to expand my fan base on FB...not going so well :haha:
I started a contest yesterday. The point is to get 5 of your friends to "like" the page and then you are entered to win a $10 credit.
What went wrong here? Is referring 5 friends too much for $10? Cause I mean everyone has 5 friends right?
Does anyone have any opinions? :)

I don't think it is Brig! Although people tend to like stuff when its "free". So even if the $10 discount IS pretty much a free Tutu/etc people aren't as drawn to it. Or so I found when I was trying to promote my spa stuff.

Not sure if that makes sense at all, or if its something that you really want to do in the first place. :hugs:

It makes complete sense!! The thing is...I have no idea what to give for free? I can't just say a free item of your choice because I mean a hair clip is $4.00 and a tutu dress can be up to $50.

I could give a free pair of slippers...but that's only worth $6.00? So the $10 credit is more:haha:

Oh by the way Tiff...I have been looking at the Keurig.:haha:
We bought a Tassimo last week...but it's being wonky? like sometimes it won't pierce the disc and stuff? I'm thinking of returning it...but not convinced I want another one...the selection is REALLY limited. I mean although I'm not a huge coffee drinker... it would still be nice to have so many options if the mood should strike.
Tassimo has a few coffees, a cappucino, latee, hot chocolate that sucks and a couple teas.
I went to Kitchenomics here in town yesterday and you can create your own K-cup box for $0.70 a cup...I think I might like it better?
I mean my fav. so far are the capps...and from what I read...the only difference is that Tassimo makes the milk frothy...the Keurig does not.
Oh and Tassimo scans a bar code...Keurig...not sure what you have to do:haha:

It IS tough, not going to lie. Honestly donating a tutu would probably (IMHO) be your best bet. I know that's hard though, as its stock and money kind of down the drain. :hugs:

It CAN work though! My friend who does bead necklaces holds giveaways where she puts a free necklace (her necklaces run from $40-$80) and I reeeeally wanted one as I didn't think I could afford one on my own. Ended up getting over 100 people to "like" her FB page. And its paid off in her favour as I have a friend whom I absolutely NEVER thought would buy her stuff purchase her 3rd necklace right before my wedding.

So she "lost" around $50 in a necklage, but even just off of myself alone she made $100.

Again, just my 2.5 cents. Please don't feel that I'm saying it "has" to be this way. :hugs:

Keurig is pretty simple! You literally open up the thingamajig, put in the K cup and then close it and it does the rest. Keurigs don't really do a lot of frothy milk drinks, they're more flavoured coffees etc.

That's not saying though that you can't "make" yourself a cappucino by adding a bit of milk and some whipped cream to a flavoured coffee.

Well if thbis contest flops maybe I'll try a free tutu, or free item of your choice, in the new year.

Thanks for your honest opinion Tiff! :hugs:

Sorry I meant to put up a fb status about your store, but forgot and now I just put my own status up. I will do it soon though.

Tiff & Sarah - Feel better ladies! :(

Tiff - P sunk a ridiculous amount of time into Oblivion too. And he started Skyrim today. I must admit, its a pretty cool game so far and the music is intriguing. :haha: But yeah, I still don't want to spend my next month watching it (he plays it on our main TV so we can hang out as a "family" :dohh:).

Brig - I hope you manage to expand your fan base some more! I'm not sure what to suggest other than what Tiff said. :( I've already sent the link to everyone on my friends' list. :haha:
What about advertising? I have no idea about that stuff or prices, but isnt there something where if you put an add on YOUR website you can advertize on others? Or something? I've heard the more links you put on your own site, the more often you'll show up on Google when people search your items? Just something to think about maybe. :)

I've tried to share the link to a few friends that I thought would actually order and they couldn't access the page :(

I want to cry. I miss Anberlin. I knew I'd miss her, but I didn't think this much. I ALMOST don't want to go. I just want to cuddle her close.

This feels awfully similar to the norovirus bout we all enjoyed last December. :(
I slept a lot today, but I'm still so tired and achey.
Tobe is a grumpy bear cub, too.

I missed your previous post Brandi, so not sure what's up with Anberlin, but hope you feel better soon.

Anberlin is with my mom until next Sunday. A limo is picking the rest of us up in the morning to take us to the airport. Zoe's Wish Trip starts tomorrow.

Anberlin has been at my mom's since this afternoon and I miss her like crazy. I had to pull to the side of the road to cry because I couldn't see.

Awwwe! Thanks ladies! I decided to make the contest easier, if people get just one friend to "like" the page, they are entered into a draw for a $10 credit.

Brandi, you'll see the week will fly by!! :-)

Sarah, really hope you guys feel better soon.

Having a money talk with tim right now... its not going good. i think im being put on a MAJOR budget...
