CBFM peeps are you out there?!?!?!? CD11 and trying to keep the faith

I only got my first peak today, CD25!! Try to keep testing, it could still happen xx

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here for a while and am not using my cbfm this month but wanted to check in with u all and see how your doing! I took soy isoflavones for the first time this month and used cbfm ovulation sticks. I got my smiley face on cd 14 instead of cd 21 so it definately moved my ovulation earlier! I found the sticks easier as I could use them in the morning and afternoon which meant I didn't miss my surge!

I'm on 10 dpo today, took a test this morning but bfn :( I had a temp tip too so am not site of I'm out this month or it might be implantation. I always start spotting from 8 dpo and that hasn't started yet so fingers crossed its a good sign!!

I'll let you all know how I get on, I'm going to test again on Friday when AF is meant to show up xx

Hi all. Haven't been in in quite a while. Been busy with the holidays, family, and mostly seeing specialists. The verdict is in: IVF is likely to only way I will be able to get my BFP. Been poked and prodded and those are the results. I'm alright. Happy we are judged to both have healthy egg and sperm, they just need a nudge to get to the wanted outcome.

Good luck to everyone!! Baby dust for all your BFP in 2013 :) I will be praying for all of you and shoot me a line when that BFP shows!!

Hi Girls,

I'm also back in the bnb saddle :) Hi Keely

Hi also to MA, wabi, summer, jessica, and all the rest

Hello to all the girls who have joined the thread while I've been away; mmw, rachybaby, loulou, amelia, katiekat, geenabe, and Mrs Davo (great to see you here hun), as of course it is with you all..Big Hello

Wabi...despite the 6 week lapse....hubby got home just after I posed last, and has been home since :happydance: It was a good job, as I had a mini-breakdown in early december. Despite my best efforts it all got a bit much for me...and here was me saying I wasn't going to let it get to me like it had the year before :dohh: A few preggo announcements kinda added to the stress and I delayed my bloody ov, so ended up really late, then thought, oh well at least af will appear after christmas, but it came early on the 23rdish grrrr. Was a super wierd cycle all together.
Wow so you and DH met over here, that makes a change. Did you meet in London then? OMG I've been telling everyone about your George the spider story!! Aaaaaaah!!! I'm like, there is this friend of mine, and she's told me the truth about spiders in Australia lol. I'll move if you come and be my chief spider catcher hehe :haha: Think it's off the cards just now :)
Talking about Australia, how are your family over there? I hope they are all ok and have avoided those awful fires. I was thinking about you when it came on the news. Our friend said the heat at the moment is unbearable.
How was Christmas? Ours was ok. Kept busy which was kinda good. Sad to say but I was glad when it was all over.
Where are you in your cycle now?
Hope you didn't get that 'relax' chat from your friends, nothing more annoying?
Also have just read that the dr agreed to run test yipeeeee:happydance: So pleased to read this. What test have they offered hun, if you don't mind me asking?
xx
:dust:

Jessica...sounds like you had a great birthday!! How are you, and where in your cycle are you? That is if you haven't had that bfp yet? Did the three of you have a nice christmas? xx:dust:

Keely...Thanks for the kind words hun:hugs:. Yes a break was indeed needed. I'm feeling a bit stronger now, something about a new year, new start etc. My last cycle was very strange, I got early highs, then had a bit of a mini-breakdown and delayed ov by like a week, I got almost no ewcm (when usually I have too much-like 9days of it), all my temps were weirdly static before ov, and then af arrived early just in time for Christmas. Totally expected it though.
I hear you about those lights tipping the scales for you. When I heard that Will and Kate were expecting that sent me right over the edge. I'm happy for them, just the thought of baby, baby, baby being on the tv all the time. No escape!!
Your vacation sounded amazing!!! Very envious :)
Just read about your DH's SA. We are so lucky to have guys that are so onboard with this ttc malarky. My DH had an SA done about a year ago. Like your DH he had really high numbers, however his morphology was low. They said it shouldn't be a problem as his numbers are so high, that should make up for it, but it may be why it's taking so long (abnormal sperm managing to fertilise the eggs).
Sorry to read they think the IVF route will be the best option. Not sure if 'sorry' is the right thing to say, only I am sorry that you will have all the extra upheavel of IVF. I think as long as the outcome is still the same it really doesn't matter how you get there though. I think it is great that they have assessed and given you a verdict so quickly. How long have you guys been ttc hun, sorry I've forgotten. Will you move fast as far as starting IVF? I hope you will still come on this thread and share your feelings, and experiences with your journey. I'd hate you to leave. I know it's titled CBFM, but it still applies as that's where you started your journey.
Rooting for you, and if you feel like sharing keep us posted sweets:hugs:
Lots of luck and Baby Dustxx :dust:

tbc....

...didn't want to post a mammoth one, so thought I'd split it up.

Summer...Great news about the isoflavones bring your cycle forward and no spotting at 8dpo wooohoooo!:hugs: Amazing that they did this! Did you do a test yet today then hun? I've got everything crossed for you. Just think though, even if this isn't your month, this has got to be giving you a better shot at that bfp!xx
Sending lots of bfp vibes your way :dust:

mmw...hi. Sorry I know you aked this over a month ago but, I get highs from anywhere between cd13- dc18, and typically get 2-3 highs before my peak (up to 5 highs before a peak is deemed as 'normal', I have had none before my peak showed, and as many as 9 (when I had delayed ov). How did your cycle end up panning out? Did the meds change anything. xx
:dust:

rachybaby...how did you find the cbfm? I see you have 'pregnant' below your name. Is this a sucess story? I hope so. Congrats :) xx :dust:

loulou...hi. Great to hear you finally got your peak. I've had pretty late ones before too, and once a missed one. It can be hard to know where to continue testing or not, can't it. The only time it missed mine was following a miscarriage and so I think my hormones confused it. Other than that I've always found it really accurate. I think I'd test at cd40 (14days from your 2nd peak), do you usually test early? Got my fingers crossed for you xx:dust:

amelia...Sorry you've been ttc for a while, but woohooo for your peak finally showing!!! So frustrating when you don't know if it's a no show, but it finally came :happydance: I guess now it's just a waiting game. Got my fingers crossed for you xx :dust:

mrsdavo...Lovely to see you here hun. Couldn't agree more about all the baby news. I'm sure when we were younger having a baby was far less fashionable lol! How are you finding the monitor? I am waiting with baited breath for your results on Monday. It's going to work out soon xx :dust:

katiekat...Hi, hope you get your rainbow baby soon xx :dust:

geenabee...I think a high on cd7 is fine. It can take a cycle or two for the cbfm to figure you out though, so some people use extra opks to double check for ov. Good luck xx :dust:

afm...Turns out after seeing the kinesiologist at the beginning of dec that my body is just one big mess. He wants us to stop ttc for just now, not sure if we can :(. It's cd 19 for us x

Hi hun and thanks!
I'm desperate to test already! Today is CD34, and it's driving me crazy! Before my mc in September my cycles were 28 days, every month, without fail! With my 1st pregnancy I tested first three days before my period was due and got a negative, the positive appeared the day before it was due so I'm trying to hold out testing for as long as possible! Lots of love and luck to you!

Hi ladies,

I'm new to forums so be gentle with me :o)

This is my first month using the monitor, so really excited (and impatient lol!).

It's my third month TTC after an incomplete miscarriage in November at 12.5 weeks which left me and hubby devastated.

I hope you don't mind me joining your thread, lovely to know there are other people going through the same thing who understand, and hope I can get to know others on the forum.

Xxx

Hi again. I will definitely keep posting and let you know how the process is going. Baylea, it's been only 7 months. The doctor gave me a 5-10% chance of conceiving naturally, ever. And same chance with IUI. So IVF is really my only option. I LOVE my doctor, she's really fantastic. I also love my OBGYN for not down playing my impatience and persistence. Otherwise it could have been years before I knew.

Welcome to all the new girls! One piece of advice is that maybe try to use the monitor plus OPKs at the same time. I sometimes did not get a true reading on monitor (always Ov'ed wayyyy later than my peak). All my hormones are clear (I am getting an internal sonogram today) so I am surprised the monitor was off at times. Just an idea to track another way as well, cover all your bases. It is a great machine though, so be excited!!

Thank you Keely for the welcome and advice. I hadn't thought to use OPKs too, do you mind me asking if when your CBFM was out it was too early or too late? Just I think we have hopefully covered our bases before if it's a bit late, but if it's too early - starting to get tired lol. X x

Oh sorry you said, I some how missed that bit! X

Loulou...sorry to hear you had a miscarriage hun xx such a difficult experience to have to go through :hugs: Frustrating how much they can change your cycle, mine are all over the place since my last one, also in September. You still managing to hold back from testing? x:dust:

Dreamer...Welcome to the thread hun. So sorry to hear you had a miscarriage too, such a devastating thing to have to get through xx:hugs: Also I completely second what Keely suggested about the back up opks to begin with. xx:dust:

Keely...huni great to hear you'll keep us posted on everything. How great that your drs are so supportive and pro-active. Wish my dr had been a bit more forward thinking! How was Christmas, hope all this new info to get your head around didn't put a dampner on it for you? xx :dust:

afm: cd21, and think I ov'd yesterday afternoon. Still no confirmation with temp (hasn't risen above coverline yet, just below it infact), but started to get sore boobs and nipples yesterday about 4/5pm. xx

Good Luck and Baby Dust to All

Thank you. I appreciate the advice. When do you use the opk's with the monitor?

Hey Baylea,

Christmas was great! I actually had to make an appointment for right after New Years for the specialist so I enjoyed all the eggnog and cookies and everything about the season! Actually, on New Years Eve, I still hadn't gotten af after using the progesterone to stim it so my husband said, before tonight, maybe just check again about a pregnancy, just in case. So I took a test and it was POSITIVE! I went to my gyno and took a blood test immediately, but of course bc of the holiday, I wouldn't find out until Wenesday. SO, I visited my brother and sister in law for our annual fancy dinner and wine pairing for each course (at their house). So of course, they wondere4d why I wasn't drinking so I told them. (They knew we were trying anyway and are both doctors so I knew they would be calm and understand the risk of early pregnancies). Needless to say, I got my blood results and it was negative. SO odd. What is that like a 1% chance of happening! Hah, so I was on a roller coaster before seeing the specialist.

But now, I know I am on my way to having a baby, for real. And I couldn't be happier. My emotions about it are ranging with all the factors - my parents helping but being nervous so asking all sorts of questions (after they look up a slew of articles on the internet), my husband's [parents not being in the loop bc we aren't sure how they will feel about science helping out, my own issues of feeling like the only people doing this, etc. But, in the end, this is what we want, what we must do and I can't WAIT to start my "cycle". Beginning of February and so I will know yay or nay on pregnancy by beginning of March.

How was your break??
