Cheers to BFPs in 2-0-1-6!

I'm taking a few days off as I'm too dizzy to drive, and don't trust myself on the train!

Sheece cant they maybe move your appt agian? its so very long time aways to wait for answers. but i also dont think you would have Od by then. sorry AF got you. she got me too. that B.

angel, you better not leave this thread. i would hunt you down and (without sounding like a mad women) kill you. we love that you got you bfp and are still here. i do think we have a bond that just has grown so much through our own jounrnies. sorry for those mad parents. it so worng of them to think once you on mat leave that their kids must still be your problem. if parents spend half the effort trying to actually help their kids instead of worrying to get others to do it, kids would be so much better off. you are a star for not telling them off. i would have. when do you start mat leave? when is next US?

ahh broody i hope you feel better soon. will be on your thread next to over comment as normal.

abe, how are you doing? i did read that on another thread and totally love everything she says. its really what we feel and go through on a daily basis.

I'm doing well, whimsy, down almost 10 pounds in a month, so WW is definitely working. It looks like I'm in for another long cycle this month, just hoping that if it's going to be over 40 days again that it be a BFP! What luck that would be, right? First month of NTNP.... I've been told that if I don't get AF by CD60 I can take a test. Ugggh, DH.

I feel like AF should be coming soon though. How are you doing?

Broody - Yay for days off! I hope the vertigo passes soon!

Teri - I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone in THIS THREAD specifically can help. Those who did get their BFP, if you had taken the time to read through when they did, all got BFPs with HPTs and positive betas. You don't have to be pregnant to post a thread in the pregnancy forums. A lot of women over there would be more than happy to answer some questions for those still TTCing!I believe we've given you all the help we can here :)

Sheece - any news on whether they'll let you keep your date or they're bumping it back again?

Wooo abe! That weight loss is amazing! Hope it helps with getting your bfp

Broody :hugs: Feel better hun!

Whimsical - sorry AF got you :( I agree, if the parents would actually put that effort into helping their kids they'd be better off. I am scheduled to start mat leave Jan 6th, and she's due Jan 12th. I might go out after xmas break instead, depends on how I feel at the end of xmas holidays as to whether I am up to going back for that last week. As for right now, I don't have any more US for this pregnancy. :( The insurance only pays for 2 (one in 8-12wks and one in 16-22weeks) I got lucky to get all those extras early on because I was considered high risk, and my doctor hasn't said she wants another one. She said she might ask for another to check my placenta because it was a little low but not at risk, so if I get anothre it will be later. We are considering scheduling a private one in a few weeks so we can do either 3D or 4D since my 20week one was just standard 2D.

As for leaving, I definitely don't plan on going anywhere. ;) I've been with you ladies for far too long to leave now! :)

Abe - That weight loss sounds awesome! Great job!

Abe & Whimsy - I didn't bother to call, Im just going to go in on the 4th. I know they can't get me in any earlier, as that was the first appointment they could give me, and I know I wont ovulate before then so it should be fine.

On their website it said the guidelines are for people with regular cycles, so I'm sure it will be fine. Plus I can't bear to put it back any further!! I just want some answers.

This AF has been awful, usually I only have 1 day of pain, this time I've had 5 days of it! Wondering if I do have a cyst or something causing it. One more week to find out :)

Broody - I hope your days off have helped! Are you feeling any better today? :(

Abe - wow, 10 pounds in a month is amazing, well done!! Fingers crossed your long cycle does turn into a bfp, but I don't know how you will be able to wait until cd60! My OH tells me I should try to wait to test but hah. It's a compulsion :p

That said I'm over it all and this month I think I will actually wait, even though I just bought a bunch of IC's lol

*sigh* Again I understood NO ONE even those with :bfp: on this specific thread can answer the question I asked regarding if they ended up being pregnant despite negative blood and urine, I asked once but I seem to be continually told about how this thread can't help. I GET IT, OK...hence the reason I posted it on the pregnancy thread after being told the first time.....when I originally posted it I was still learning how this whole baby and Bump group worked

I'm also TTC# 1 w/ PCOS & DEVICS DISEASE I'm 24 my husband is 29 with no issues we have been ACTIVELY TTC for 4 years now, I'm currently on CD34, 4 days late for AF, sharing my symptoms so IF I end up being pg women who present similar to my situation can have some hope instead of feel like a crazy person.

Teri. We're not trying to make you feel crazy but you've barged into the middle of an existing thread and asked something that's irrelevant to our current conversation. And I think you're actually being pretty rude now when people have tried to politely direct you somewhere more suitable. That's my last word on it as I'm not going to start arguing on here, but you're in the wrong place. I hope you do get your bfp. I think one thing we can all agree to on here is that ttc is a heartbreaking process, particularly when you're so desperate for that bfp.

Sheece. Hope you get some answers from this ultrasound. I think the timing will still be ok.

Angel. I'm finishing st Christmas too. It's super early for me but it's more for my mental health as I really hate my job now, and I think it's having an impact on me on terms of physical symptoms. I'm not going back afterwards either, woo!

I'm not being rude in the least, all I've expressed is that yes I posted one wrong question on this thread because I was new to the site and I misinterpreted this particular threads intent. Since the post about 5 of you have made it a point to let me know about my mistake when I realised it after the first person mentioned it to me and I also feel as if your trying to shoo me away when I ACTUALLY meet the criteria for this thread which is being a woman who is hopefully TTC#1 after 4 years, did my initial question not belong here yes which I've acknowledged 6 times now that's why I posted my question in a pregnancy thread and also changed up my discussion to what was relevant on this thread. I am not a child who needs to be constantly told of a mistake I made is my point, I understand English quite well. If you see my explanation as rude then grow some thicker skin.

abe thats such an amazing weight loss. have you just changed your diet or have you been doing other things? and really how wonderful would it be for you to get the bfp on the first month ntnp, there will be hope for us.

angel how on earth do you plan to muster up the strength to go back to work for a week after the holiday break???????????? i dont even know how i will get the strength to come back after the holidays. oh im sure you can make a reason to do the scan. i really miss your baby pics. baby would have grown so much. i can wait.

sheece the trick is to not buy the hpts so you wont be tempted to test test and test, :haha: i guess next week Fri isnt that far and atleast soon you will be getting some answers. what you plan on doing this cycle for now, just ntnp and wait to see what the doc says?

me, af is much lighter today. cervix cramps and mild back pain. just keep thinking of next month too. had my bfp, mc and lap in Nov. thats going to be a very high mountain for me to climb. as it is, its all i keep thinking about. #wishingforahappyending#

Whimsy - we've basically cut out a lot of carbs, fast food and sugar (Weight Watchers has a new system for calculating points. It uses calories as a baseline and then food with higher protein get lower points, while foods with high amounts of sugar and fat get higher points). I like weight watchers because this is what I was trying to do by myself, but DH didn't want to cut out sugar and carbs. WW just masks that that's what we're doing :)

So, I lied. AF reared her ugly head last night before bed. 36 days for this past cycle, much better than the 41 before we did our IVF round. I'm hoping that with the better diet it'll slowly go back down to a regular cycle. I miss those days where I could count on AF to show up on a specific day...

I'm at the doctor's office now for my 3 hour test. :( Last time I ate was dinner last night (around 6:30pm, came in at 8am for lab work). First blood draw down, plus nasty drink. Now I'm waiting in the lobby with a timer set for 50 minutes to tell me when to go back there again for the next lab draw. Rinse and repeat. Blah. I can honestly say I feel like crap right now and I'm only 30 minutes past the drink. I don't handle a large amount of sugar well, and I really don't handle it well on an empty stomach. I am really tempted to lay down on these chairs (there are sets of chairs that are 3 connected but don't have arms on the middle bits so it's like a bench) and nap but I'm afraid I wouldn't realize the alarm was going off and if I miss a blood draw I think they make me redo it. And heck no I'm not doing that!

Broody - so sorry that you are miserable with your job! I was just telling my coworkers that I wish I had gotten pregnant last year when I was miserable with my classes because I would at least enjoy being away for Mat leave, while now I really love most of my classes and students and am kinda bummed to be out for the 3 months. But I also know once those 3 months are over I'll be bummed about having to go back. lol. Nothing is going to make me happy at this point. :haha:

Whimsical - I have no idea how I plan to muster the strength to go back after break! :haha: I'm trying to be optimistic but thinking there's a real good chance I will change my mind and take that week off after all.

Abe - Yay for a shorter cycle! :) I found after I lost weight that my cycles and ovulation became a lot more regular. It could have just been because my body had finally regulated from BCP but I'm more thinking the weight helped my body cycle. Maybe your weight loss will help do the same thing. :)

Hope you pass the test Angel. I felt terrible when I had mine, I think it was a 2 hour test I had. I did pass though but just felt really icky all day afterwards

They apparently skipped right from 1 to 3 hours for me. Blah. The tech says a large number of women fail 1 hour and then do fine on the 3 hour which was reassuring. But I do feel like crap still. I just want to sleep. I'm resting for the afternoon, drinking lots of water and eating protein, as per their directions. :)

Whimsy - we're still trying this cycle, I feel like it's probably pointless but I can't just not try. AF finally finished, and now I'm sick, so this cycle is already off to a great start

Abe- thats good news about your shorter cycle! & Angel - Really interesting that losing weight can affect it like that, I really need to get my butt into gear! I'm sure its not a co-incidence that this year I've put on like 10 kgs & my cycles have gone whacko.

And you guys finishing up work at Christmas, how exciting! That's gone by so fast.

That sugar test sounds horrible Angel :( Yay that it's over though :D

No harm in keeping trying Sheece. It seems to happen for a lot of people naturally just as they start undergoing fertility investigations (it did for me twice!)

Broody - I have everything crossed that happens for me too!!

Mine happened just as we started the infertility investigations too. Literally the day we went in to get our results from the month of testing and go over a plan was the day I got my BFP. Hopefully that will happen for you to! :)

Sheece - I actually got my BFP two days before going in for our initial consult with out clinic. It ended in CP, but it can and does happen! FX it does for you!
