Cheers to BFPs in 2-0-1-6!

Doing okay thanks, other than a horrible, long-lasting migraine with aura and aphasia last night, but I'm fine now.

Abe - that crocheting is amazing! Such talent! Handmade gifts are the best. And yay for shorter cycle.

Sheece - 21st is just a week away now, woot! And re: fibroids, I never used to feel them from the outside but in pregnancy they've grown a bit and also get pushed RIGHT out by baby sometimes.

Angel - I'm pleased to tell you my pain has actually gotten a bit better over the past week or so, so there may be hope! And that's without massage and physio.

Jezika just a few more weeks, wow. are you getting migraines often? i hope everything goes well for the birth. are you doing natural birth? how much of prepping for baby did you actually complete? are you on leave as yet?

angel is there anything you can do for the pain? maybe a cold press to the hip for a few mins. or some massaging? will you be able to sit majority of the time at work? maybe take and extra cosy cushion to help your back and body.

abe im in love with that dress set. i love what people can do with crocheting. i got a needle and some yarn and have been trying out beginner lessons. i completely suck at it. i would love to do it so im trying to stick to it and learn to do it. i think that dress set will be my goal now. i love that. (dont ask me who's kid i will make it for, just want to be able to do something that beautiful)
congrats on the weight loss. i do think its the reason you may be having a much shorter cycle and im sure it will help a long way in ivf.

Sheece i hope they can schedule your op before december and you all healed by christmas so you can go on next year to having a 2017 baby.

as for me. had a full check up on the weekend. was having alot of spotting mid cycle and very painful periods. i have a cyst on the left ovary. the cyst is pressing on the tube and making it inflamed and thats causes a bit of an infection. the cyst is around 5+cms. they gave me antibiotics and some anti inflammatories to take for a week and i have a follow up check up late Jan early Feb. hoping that goes away by then. i seem to have reoccurring cysts. no specific reason i get them. they always different places and different sizes. BUT the doc said i can still fall preg with having them so i should not worry too much about them. we did DB last night and i still had some spotting so i hope these meds work soon as sex with blood is really messing with my sex drive and everytime we have sex thats pretty much alot of what i keep thinking about. need some normal sex soon!!!!!!

Doctor said today that the pain is normal and has to do with the widening of the pelvic bone and the stretching of ligaments. She showed me some stretches to do, recommended getting massage every other week and if the massage doesn't help then she will give me a referral for physical therapy.

Jezika - I'm glad to hear your pain has subsided! That gives me some hope!

Whimsical - compresses (heat or cold) don't help. But hopefully the stretches, massage and therapy will help. I can try to sit at work. It's hard to sit while I teach, but I've got a comfy stool/chair another teacher loaned me that will help.

Ooh that cyst sounds painful! I hope that it clears up!

Abe that dress set is adorable!! You are very clever!

Angel - sorry to hear you are having so much pain, must be so frustrating knowing its normal!

Whimsy - wow that sucks :( I'm glad the doctor isn't worried though thats a good sign, but frustrating for you. fingers crossed the bleeding stops!

AFM - I just got back from holiday last night & came home to my ultrasound report in the mail. Turns out what I thought was a polp was actually a seed fibroid. And I also have focal adenomyosis (where the inner lining of uterus breaks through the muscle wall of uterus).

Rah. Google tells me it can cause infertility issues but not much is known about it, and that also its not a serious issue. All I can focus on is that its just another factor against me :/

Hurry up 21st!

Aww we've all gone quiet in here!

I had my appointment and am now scheduled in on Jan 11 for a Hysteroscopy D & C, & Laparoscopy. I also have strict instructions to drop the weight / stop eating carbs so I am miserable & craving carbs hah.

Hopefully this means that come January we will be right to go though!

How are you ladies going?

I highly recommend weight watchers, Sheece! You don't even realize you're cutting down on the carbs and sugar! Yay for things moving though :) we may need to start a 2017 thread together!

I'm doing good, down almost 20lbs. DH and I have been talking for the past couple of days, and I think are plans are changing (again). I feel stuck at my current job because I never finished post secondary, so this upcoming year I'm working on upgrading some courses and then challenging admissions into the sonogram technician program. It'll be a 26 month program year round, but I think I'll have more job satisfaction once it's done. It's funny because my younger sister is in the LPN program, and the other sister is planning on going into the medical field as well.

So we'll be NTNP until I lose the weight, saving up for school, and then if we aren't PG by summer 2018 I'll be going on BCP until I'm done my courses. If we get PGbeforehand I may push my studies back a year.

I might need something like weight watchers I think Abe - doing it myself is just so hard! I've been good so far but far out I miss carbs lol

Yep I'm glad we are being proactive and getting it sorted out. I just feel like I may have one too many things wrong, I hope it doesn't make it harder for me. PCOS, endo, fibroid + I have the condition where the lining goes through the uterus wall too. Google says its not known to cause infertility, and its minor but its not good.

I think we'll def have to start a thread for 2017! I don't even know if theres any point in me trying still this year to be honest. I just hope the surgery works and we can get pregnant quickly so we can still have a 2017 baby.

wow thats awesome, well done on the weight loss :D

Big news on the career front too! Sounds like you have it all worked out, sounds quite exciting actually. I'm a bit the same I'm bored at my work and my pay hasn't increased in 5 years and doesnt look likely to either. I did a medical reception / terminology course a couple of months ago to try to change careers but I feel kind of stuck until after we have a baby.

26 months seems very full on! Will be challenging but rewarding im sure :)

hi

did Jesika have her baby?

angel how is the pain now? did massages help?

we totally need a new thread for us ladies. any names for a new thread?

abe your update is a bit bitter sweet for me but i love it still. im sad that you cant go full on ttc and have to stay ntnp and maybe if you dont then BC but i love that you are not happy in your career and you are making the effort to change it. i know 26months sounds like ages but soon that will done and you will be in such a better place to ttc. oh congrats on the weight loss. i wish i had that attitude to make that effort.

sheece. i know all the info seems overwhelming. with google going from this is the reason you cant get pregnant to soon you going to die but the way i see it is that now you are referred to a specialist. you have a date set for your op. the doctors know so much going in that they know what they need to do to change it and they know you want to get preg so they will try their very best that after the op, your body will be in some kind of shape to get pregnant. you do have so much working against you when you put it that way but you have things working to you too. i know its hard but for now all you can do is watch your weight. try the weight watchers things maybe and hope that come Jan you will be ready. the only thing you can control right now is your weight so go on girl, lose that weight.

AFM, had a heavy period after days and days of spotting. dont feel the cysts that much so i am hoping the meds made a difference. still waiting to have some normal sex here. (getting quite pissed that i cant)

Hi all! Been awhile! I'm doing alright, mostly tired. The "3rd tri exhaustion" I think is catching up with me. I'll go to bed around 9pm and if I just let myself sleep through I don't wake up until after 8am! Of course I'm also awake a few times at night (last night I was up from 2am-4am, :growlmad: ) but it's hard to catch up on sleep when I have to pee in the middle of the night at least once or twice, and then once I move I'm awake for awhile. :dohh:

I can't believe I'm only a few weeks away from my due date, and only a month away from where my doctor will consider me "full term" and safe to deliver! My students and friends are taking bets on when I'll actually have the baby :dohh: lol. I'm hoping for a late December baby, though some people are predicting late January and I might just die if I go that far over my due date! :haha:

Sheece - good luck!! So glad you are able to get those scheduled and hopefully will be able to get started on everything after the procedure! I second the weight watchers option. I haven't used it before but my friend uses it and says it's really fairly easy to do and she doesn't even realize half the time what she's cutting out.

Abe - Congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome! I love the idea of getting into the sonogram tech program. I am a big fan of pushing forward, getting education and moving into other fields when unhappy! I went back for my MA 10 years after I got my bachelor's, and even though I was staying in my same field I was getting bored, AND I had reached as far as I could advancement wise without further ed so I saved up and did a 3 year MS program. Best decision of my life, I learned so much and changed as a teacher. Not quite the same thing as a total career change, but I think it's great that you're up for doing it. Hopefully you'll get PG before summer 2018, but if not at least you also have a solid plan in place. :)

Whimsical - Pain is a little better. The massage really helped for 3-4 days, and then the pain started to come back but not quite as bad. I think I'm going to continue with weekly massage until pregnancy is done. It helps enough that it was worth it.

At least your period has full on started after the spotting so hopefully you'll be able to enjoy yourself soon. ;)

Whimsy, I hope your period has stopped and no sign of spotting so you can finally have some normal sex!

Angel - Where has that time gone! fingers crossed for a late December baby for you :)

AFM - I ovulated! CD 33 which is a week earlier than last cycle, I think vitex is definitely helping. I also started metformin on Saturday. I'm scared of the side effects so I'm starting off at half a tablet for the first week and will gradually build to 3 a day.

Doing ok on my low carb diet too, but I will definitely check weight watchers out thanks girls. I'm hopeless at meal planning and doing it on my own. Yesterday for breakfast I had two boiled eggs and some celery because I couldn't think of what else to have :dohh:

Yay! If you do decide to do WW let me know and I'll PM you a referral link :)

Thanks Abe will do :)

I checked it out briefly but will hvae to think about it as the budget is pretty tight at the moment. However WW in Australia do a dinner delivery box, 5 dinners for 2 people so I bought one of those to try this week, hopefully that should help my meal planning predicament!

It was quite cheap too so worthwhile for sure.

Hey. Just dropping in to say I'm still following and hope everyone is doing ok

Whimsical - so sweet of you to ask after me! Sorry for being awol. No baby yet. 8 have a feeling I'll be overdue. As for migraines, I seem to be getting them more frequently during pregnancy but still no more than once a month. Re: being prepared for baby, yes we are pretty much prepared, though hospital bag is not packed, just have most of the stuff for it sitting in the crib ready to be packed. Re: natural birth, I always intended on having an epidural but now I'm open minded. Actually i Still need to write my birth preferences (aka birth plan) but that'll be pretty brief. I'm trying to be open minded about the whole thing and how everything goes and also cope as well as I can on my own, trust my body etc., without feeling the need to be a hero though. I'm still going to classes, so not on leave, but this week is the last week and then I have an oral exam on my due date next Monday. How are things with you?

I'll catch up with everyone else over the next few days but hope everyone is doing well. I'm so bad for always going to bed late when my sleep is screwed anuway due to peeing 5000 times, back pain, congestion, waking myself up by snoring, or a delightful combo of all :$

Hi Broody & Jezika, good to hear from you both!

Jezika, you sound pretty prepared! Hope you're exam goes well :)

AFM - I weighed in this morning and I've lost 1.3 kgs this week! (2.8 lbs for you americans :p ) I'm stoked! Haven't lost that much in one hit in a long long time.

6dpo today and I had sore boobs yesterday, and I've generally been feeling very short of breath, trying not to get my hopes up though, I know my chances are slim to nil before my lap. Plus we had horrible timing this month. 3 days before O and 1 day after :/

Morning ladies! I'm checking in. 34 weeks today! Only 3 weeks until I'm doctor considers me full term, and 6 weeks until my due date! I've got 3 weeks left of work before we are on Christmas break so Im' really hoping I can make it that long and then I can rest for a couple weeks!

Jezika - ooh hopefully the cramping is a sign your LO is starting to come her way! Hopefully you don't end up being too far overdue! So sorry to hear about your migraines! :(

Sheece - congrats on the weight loss!! Keep it up! :)

Angel, 6 weeks to go!! I bet you are hanging out for the Christmas break something bad.

How are you feeling?

Congrats on weight loss Sheece that's great!

Breathlessness is an early sign for me! You never know. Timings not too bad.

Sheece - yay for the weight loss! That's great for just a week! I'm the same with meal planning, btw. I'm just so uninspired and end up making the same five things (in case anyone is wondering, it's usually pasta, zucchini and dill soup, green bean and dill soup, carrot and potato soup, celery/white bean/cabbage/carrot/potato soup, cheese and onion-filled puff pastry with roast or mashed potatoes + veg [omg I looooove puff pastry, even though it's sooooo bad], and that's about it). Oh man, now I'm really hungry. Anyway, your timing doesn't sound too bad, actually. Are you going to test soon?

Angel - eek, you're so close! There's something so relieving about reaching 37 weeks. I'm sure that time will fly by. And this Christmas period must be so exciting for you! Are you having a baby shower soon? At my shower everyone guessed the birth date and weight and DH and I are giving out $50 gift vouchers to whoever is closest for each. Makes it a bit of fun. My personal guess (not that I can win) is December 12th, though I really hope it's sooner.

Broody - your LO's coming along nicely too! How are you feeling?

Abe - sounds like a great plan re: continuing education. It sounds like a win-win actually, whether BFP comes before then or not. I'm also all for changing careers/going back to school. I went "back" to school (though never had a bachelor's degree before then) at 24, which I guess is pretty young, but that was for another entire decade of education. Big change from finance to psychology, though. The sonogram course sounds really cool! I've always been so fascinated when I've gone for my 5,000 ultrasounds. Also, congrats on the weight loss. I'm just over here putting ON a tonne of weight, getting fat in the face, swollen everywhere etc.,... woe is me.

AFM - I had cramping on and off yesterday that gradually got more intense and interspersed with Braxton Hicks (though I get those all the time anyway). I was hoping it might be the start of something but I've had zilch since then. I also found an old thread where a group of women were experiencing the exact same thing at around 39 weeks and were convinced one of them must be about to give birth but, unbelievably, NONE of them gave birth until at LEAST two weeks later. Merrrghhhh. In my pregnancy group on here, SO many ladies have given birth before 40 weeks, some of them by quite a few weeks in fact.

lol jezika. How old was the thread as pretty sure that was me in2013! Your meals sound so yummy. We always have fishcakes/fish and chips, pie, sausages, pasta or spaghetti Bol, salad or pizza. That's about it, all sound v unhealthy written down!

My main issue at the moment is exhaustion. I'm just so tired constantly. Finished work as it was one physical problem after another and it eventually took a toll on my mental health so not being at work is helping. I've been suffering with swelling too but I'd overdone it and done loads of walking
