Cheers to BFPs in 2-0-1-6!

yes broody you do have to do what you feel comfy to do at the time. and getting out of the house for your own sanity was a great thing to do. i really dont like when sick people go around babies. i make it a point to never touch or go anywhere close to a baby when i have the flu. and thats just because when a baby is sick, all they do is cry and that breaks my heart. anyone baby crying because they flued up, i cry with the baby.

when i had both my ops, both were like c section cuts and i was pretty immobile. esp the first op. i did walk around in the yard, but that was about it. hated trevelling. even the shortest distance.

TGIF Ladies!! :) My baby shower is this Sunday, I'm excited. :)

Whimsical - I am getting there. Not quite ready for labor yet. I still have to get a carseat and a couple small things but are mostly done. We will get the last little things sometime after this weekend, we are waiting until after the baby shower to get the last of the things we need.

I'm honestly not really wanting to carry all the way to Jan12th. The pain in my pelvis is bad enough most days that I'd be perfectly happy if she came 2-3 weeks early. Doctor says 37 weeks is full term, so as far as I'm concerned she can show up at 37+1. :haha:

Jezika - Yep, even first time babies were early. I was the first, and I was 2 weeks early. My sister's only had 1 kid biologically and she was 2 weeks early. Both my biologically related aunts had their first kids early too (although one of them was a preemie so I don't know if that counts or not). I don't think anyone has had a baby carry to 40 weeks!

Sheece - thanks! I had never known anyone with the name Melody when I picked this one out. Honestly, I have a hard time finding a name for a kid because I teach SO many kids each year and I refuse to use a name that I can affiliate with someone I've taught (whether it's good or bad) because then I have a personality already imprinted on the name. It sounds funny but it's hard not to think of the personality of the people I've known before who had that name. Melody was one of the few names that survived my list. :haha:

Angel - How exciting, hope you have the best day on Sunday :)

So stupid FF changed my crosshairs! They were originally on CD33 (which I still think I ovulated on, it was a bigger rise). I think it changed them because this mornings temp was up, and its never usually this high the day before AF (could be from metformin maybe?)

Either way it's annoying. Do you girls think it should be CD33 or CD37?

I would have said CD33. But I think the number of days with fertile CM you had after CD33 throws off the CH, plus the temp changes.

Yeah I agree Angel.

And today my body has proven us right anyway, huge temp dive and period pain, ahh AF right on schedule.

Sorry Sheece :( At least you'll have one for cycle before your laparoscopy.heres hoping that that cycles it?

Thanks girls x

If i ovulate early enough we will still try this cycle I think. If I ovulate anywhere after CD30 though like I usually do I think it will be a bit close to the operation date for comfort.

I know theres low chance of me getting pregnant anyway but I don't think I want to risk it and then have the operation without knowing, because it wont be the right timeframe to test before then. (op is Jan 11).

Its never easy lol

sheece, sorry for AF. it is good that your cycle was shorter this time though. im a bit worried for you next cycle. it will be too early to test, and what if you do fall preg. i hope they can check before the op. maybe have some blood work done before op. just to make sure you can have the op.

angel you may have your birth early. if only you could be on bed rest, im sure that would help so much with the pain. the downfall to being a teacher is the bad leave. roll on holidays. angel needs a break.

abe, looking lovely on your pic. so very happy too.

afm, nothing much happening. FF gave me crosshairs. BD'ed nowhere near that day. :haha: so ladies i will be having some tequila this christmas for each one of you here. :haha:

Thanks Whimsy. Went to an office Christmas party on Friday and DH insisted on taking pictures after in his studio :)

It may be because he was the one who picked out the dress and insisted I buy it haha.

Oh yeah I def need the holidays. Enjoy the tequila Whimsical! I'll admit I'm a little jealous right now! :haha:

I decided to take some bump pics today since I'm at 35 weeks. I haven't been taking regular bump pics lately so I did a comparison to the last one I took in the same shirt (back to the last week of October). Not sure if there's a drastic change but I'm definitely feeling it more!

Whimsy that is exactly my concern. I think I'm going to give it a cut off time. If I don't ovulate by December 21st, we will stop trying this cycle. If I ovulate by then (which would be CD18 and a miracle if we do) I'll have enough time to get a bfp if we are gonna get one.

Angel - love the bump pics! I can see a change for sure, but its not drastic, you're right!

Looks like I'll be joining you guys in the christmas drinking department this year, will have a few extra for you preggo's :p

abe, i think your DH is just so sweet. you will always be his favourite person to take pics of

Angel, just for you, i will have 2 shots of tequila. so on christmas if your ears are itchy, know i am thinking of you when drinking. :haha: your bump is different to me. its more lower now and sticking out so much more. i think baby is slowly making her way down. (so pretty bump photos by the way)

sheece i think that is best for you. you do need the op so fx for you. (will have a shot for you too)

afm, crosshairs are gone. ff is mad at me because my temps are still high. i thought they were ment to be higher post O so will just have to keep temping and see where i go. but i know ff did the same last month. gave me crosshairs, then took them away, then gave me funny lines and after a few days, crosshairs again.

This insomnia is killing me. I'm in bed by 9pm every night, fall asleep before 10pm most nights. I find myself waking up between 1:30-2am every night and CANNOT GO BACK TO SLEEP. Most nights I fall back asleep around 4:30 (my alarm goes off around 5am for work). Today I was still awake when the alarm went off. I am functioning on less than 4 hours of sleep every night, and those 4 hours are broken up because sometime between 10 and 1 I wake up from the hip pain and have to move.

If one more person tells me "what do you think you're going to do when the baby is here, you won't sleep then either" or "it's God's way of preparing you for when the baby comes and you aren't sleeping" I think I'll punch someone. Two significant differences: when baby comes I'll have 3 months of leave so even if I am not getting a lot of sleep I WON'T be getting up at 5am to go to work and try to teach math to a 140 teenagers! And secondly, the excruciating hip/pelvic pain I'm dealing with (which is now almost nonstop even when I'm NOT moving) is (supposedly) going to go away after birth. So even dealing with no sleep I'll at least not have excruciating pain.

My point? It's not the same thing and I'm tired of people telling me to get over it, or "well what did you expect". :growlmad:

Whimsical - I suspect that your CM may have affected your CH too. FF tends to use a combination of temps and CM to determine CH. So while your temps look great for post-O, your CM implies you may not have ovulated yet. I say, as long as you are getting fertile CM, keep up the BD and maybe you'll catch an egg. :)

I'm exactly the same angel and I was last night. I will tell you this, once Dyl was born I've never slept so well! Yes he woke up to feed but generally I'd feed him about 11, 3-4 then 7 and he was up for the day at 11 so even though my sleep was broken I got loads. And I found breastfeeding made me sleepy so there was none of this lying awake crap. I did actually fall asleep feeding him a couple of times!

i know this made you so angry but i was laughing reading that. its mostly ignorant people that have comments like that. before my first op, from my navel to my knees i used to have so much pain for a week or more O time and over a week of pain AF time. sometimes i used to get no feeling on the one leg while i was walking a almost fell over so many times so i know pain and i can understand that people who dont know what you have to deal with will always brush it of as you over acting. next time someone asks you about your pregnancy, tell them you having a wonderful pregnancy and cant wait for the birth. people that had babies will always believe what they went through was the worst and not what you have to deal with on a day to day basis.

have you been for any more massages? did you speak to your midwife/doc if they can prescribe somethine a little more intense for the pain but safe for baby?

the morning i put in the high temp, i had dry cm so i put dry CM and thats when it changed my O date. as the day went on, i had some WCM so i changed it so i dont think its that. it may be that my pre o and post o temps are almost the same so thats why it cant get it. but i can be wrong and you may be right. my cycles are never longer than 29days so if i was having a 29 day cycle this month, today is CD20. i do not think i can be ovulating so late. ff period prediction is for CD28 (next friday). i had cramping already and lots of spasms and every i get a week before AF so as far as fertile time, i think i passed that.

Whimsy, FF changed my O date based on CM too, but because I had fertile CM after I ovulated. It moved ovulation forward 5 days when I know i ovulated when it originally said. AF proved it too! Be interesting to see how it turns out for you. It really looks like you did ovulate when you had that big rise, but it does look confusing because your temps are only a bit higher than pre O temps, you're right.

Keep us posted!

AFM - I had my fertility doc blood tests today. He ran everything, 23 tests!! She took 7 vials of blood, yeesh. I have to go back on monday and do the diabetes test, which will take 2 hours all up. I do have insulin resistance so I hope I don't have diabetes! I guess I'm on the right drugs for it (metformin) if I do.

That's a lot of blood Sheece! Have a nice juicy steak or something to get your levels back up 😀

I'm trying to eat lots of protein Broody yeah hehe. Still feel weak today!!

Reece mentioned to his mate about my lap & he told him his wife had it done just before she conceived their 2nd baby, so I'm feeling even more hopeful now! Just need to get the pcos stuff under control :/
