Christmas bfps

I said I was going to temp this month and I haven't.. Just BDing every day or two. Hubby and I had our first "this feels like a chore" bd today which is a bit disheartening. I need to remind myself that the dance itself is a wonderful thing and try not to concentrate on our end goal too much.

Here are my opks. I don't think any of them are a true positive. Still temping to hopefully confirm ovulation.

Just got back from the doctors. DH has high volume in his SA, however he has a 98% morphology. The doctor said we could try naturally, however the chance of having an early miscarriage is high. He put me on clomid for the start of next cycle, to release more eggs so we have a better chance. He's also referred DH to a eurologist, so hopefully we'll be getting some answers. We may just have to skip to IUI, which is about $410 a round here in Canada.

Just out of curiosity what does high volume in his SA and 98% morphology mean? Why does it increase the chance for early miscarriage?

High volume just means that for the amount of cum was in his sample he has a high concentration of sperm. It's more the morphology that is the issue. Sperm have to be a certain shape in order to be healthy and capable of fertilizing the egg. Only 2% of DH's are normal shaped. It is possible for an abnormally shaped one to fertilize the egg, but it will have a higher chance of miscarriage (at least this is how the doctor described it to me).

What about cd17? They look fairly similar to the control line, or maybe it's just the photo?

Cd 17 is definitely the darkest it gt and I'm taking that one as positive. Bd cd16, 17 and 18 so I hope that's covered it! Will bd once more tomorrow

Solid smiley today =) I'm so excited although a little worried that I'll burn DH out with all this BD stuff :p

My dh thinks it's awesome that we need to bd all these days in a row however it is draining and have had to bribe him a couple of times especially early mornings!

So I have another rookie question about temping - closest to positive opk was Saturday but still no temp shift - does that mean I didn't ovulate?

I can't actually see your chart but I normally have a clear shift by 4 DPO. If you look at my charts (not this cycle as its not 'normal' for me, don't know what's going on!!) on oct and sept you'll see 1-4dpo it generally starts going up but also has a few dips. Are your temps moving at all?

Emma - it looks like you had a temp spike a couple of days ago (the huge thermal shift higher than any of your previous temps), but it could be that the follicle didn't rupture to release the egg, and that's why your temps went back down. Hopefully your body will try to ovulate again. When the follicle doesn't rupture it can't release progesterone, the hormone that makes your temps higher. Just keep using those OPKs and keep BDing!

I would say not yet based on your temps. Are you testing multiple times a day or once? Also, you can get that positive OPK and then ovulate two days later. so maybe you will get a temp shift today? Especially if it was the beginning of the surge you caught

Hello Ladies!

I would love to hop onto this thread! DH and I have been TTC since late July(when I had my Implanon removed), so this is our fifth cycle. I temp and use OPKs as well as keep an eye on CM and CP.

Yesterday I had a ton of EWCM, but a not quite positive OPK, then this morning got the positive there. My in-laws have been here this week so we haven't BD as much as I would have liked, but hopefully yesterday and today is enough.. yeah, right.. FX'd haha. I'll have to take another OPK in the morning to see if O has passed. If my calendar is right, AF is due to start on Christmas Eve, here's to hoping for all of our Christmas or New year's BFPs!!!

One of my best friends just had her first baby on Friday, so I have definitely been over there to hold her!!! I'll get my baby fix one way or another by golly! ^_^

I know I posted earlier in this thread. Well, yesterday (11dpo) I got a faint BFP on a FRER and it was darker today. After nearly 4 years of infertility, we finally got our first BFP! My birthday is a week away and Christmas is 9 days after! Hopefully we have a sticky baby because this is the best gift we could ask for.

Congratulations clementine! Such a lovely Christmas gift! X

Wow congratulations clementine that's awesome!

Thank u for the advice about the ovulation ladies. I can't help but feel a bit disheartened by my temps. Up a tiny bit today. Maybe a slow rise ir a delayed ov like u said? Or maybe just not ovulating which will be gutting. Definitely not fertile anymore as cm is not egg white anymore and cervix has closed. If it's delayed ov then my luteal phase will only be 9 days or less again - pretty rubbish.

I'm sorry Emma. Hopefully it's just delayed. Luteal Phases don't tend to change much month to month though. Your cycle may be a bit longer, but LP generally only changes by a day or two, so hopefully that's the case!

Congrats clementine!

AFM- got my solid smiley today at CD16, which means I can expect O at CD18, then I'm on the tww! This cycle has already felt so long. I'm just praying (and I'm not the praying type) that we can do this naturally and that its just taken a bit longer.

Clementine that's wonderful! Congrats after such a long wait!
mrs.micci Welcome to the thread!

I finally got my positive OPK this morning and what do you know, my DH decided he felt like BDing before work. What a nice surprise...plus we bd'd last night so hopefully this all works out! However, I have hernia surgery tomorrow...(umbilical and only local anesthesia) I sure am packing a lot into December. I did some research and since the surgery is before implantation and post ovulation, it won't really matter.
