Back from the 2ww section ready for cycle no3 grrrr! anyway, first month using the cbfm and today is cd6 first poas day. but it went right to high on the monitor. it is a second hand monitor, but i have reset it. my cycles are at the shortest 34 days so definatly wouldnt be getting close to ov yet as i ovulated on cd22 last month. im confuzzled anyone had this? also any 'i got my on first cycle with cbfm' would really cheer me up right about now thanks and baby dust to all x

I'm on my first cycle with CBFM as well. Although I got a high on day 8. I'm now day 11. My cycles are usually 28-30days

This was my 2nd cycle using cbfm and i had 15 highs!! and then 2 peaks, so dont be surprised if you get alot of highs, my 1st cycle i only had 5 highs then 2 peaks, im now in 2ww, good luck with monitor!

Cant help with the queries im afraid but I can tell you I conceived the first cycle I used the cbfm. I had been trying for 6 months before that. My son is 14 months now and we are going to try for number 2 starting next cycle so I will be using it again! X

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping in on this too..

It's my first month TTC and with the CBFM, I have a fairly regular 28/29 day cycle but had 8 highs from CD8 and just got a peak this morning on CD16 so feeling hopeful...was stressing and reading too many things online but think just need to relax and have faith that it is doing the job correctly?!

Only thing is trying to keep things carefree with DH and not turning into a BD demon!

15 highs...omg i dont understand why it does that lol the peaks must creap up on you then if you dont get the highs as a warning...which is kinda the whole point of the monitor??? oh well we shall see, i hop ei can change my oppinion by end of this cycle good luck x

Hi! I'm new so hello all!

I'm on cycle two with CBFM and am now in the horrible TWW! Thought id share my CBFM experience so far. First cycle I got 5 days high then peak on CD16. AF showed up 7 dpo so game over that month. This month I had no high until CD17 then peak on CD20 and now I'm 10 dpo. Trying not to get hopes up but have heard so many positive things about CBFM I'm dying to test!

I assume my first cycle wasn't a proper on as only came off the pill 3 weeks prior.

Good luck everyone, I need to be put in a box until another 4 days!!

so lots of us then! im glad other seem to have lots of highs too, i was sort of expecting 5ish highs then two peaks...but straight in with the highs this morning, at leat i know its just the monitor getting used to me. good job really with the possibility of 22 days of highs before a peak i think my poor old hubby would have a nervous breakdown ;-) good luck to all of you thanks for the replies xxx :babydust:

I have read that for some women it can take a couple of months for the cbfm to "know" their body. I have heard SO MANY success stories from using a cbfm, though. I am thinking about saving up my swagbucks and investing in one. Good luck to everybody that has one

Hi all. I am on cycle 3 using the monitor, and no baby joy just yet. FX third cycle is a charm. I have a regular, 29-30 day cycle. First cycle I got 2 highs (CD 15, 16) before peaking on CD 17. Ovulation confirmed on CD 18 via charting on Fertility Friend. Second cycle I got 3 highs (CD 13, 14, 15) before peaking on CD 16. Ovulation confirmed on CD 17 by Fertility Friend.

So... I'm ovulating, and the monitor is helping us make sure we are BDing at the right time. But no BFP yet. Going to see a RE next week to make sure there arent' any other problems...

Oh, and my advice if you are getting a high already and have a long cycle - BD every other day until you get a peak! Then DTD both peaks, and the high after the peak. Don't want to get worn out and/or deplete DH's sperm reserves...

i have been trying for 17 months and just used the cbfm for the 1st month, my cycles are 40 days long but i ovulated on day 18 which means i have a long luteal phase.

i dont think you would be ovulating then, just keep poas everyday when it asks you and hopefully you wil get another high later on too.

i have heard nothing but goof things from people using the cbfm and most people conceive within 3-4months of using it, but you are meant to have the sperm waiting inside rather than only doing it on your high peaks x

I agree with mummy - you should be sure to do it on some of those highs, but at the same time I wouldn't do it every day from CD 6 if you are going to ovulate on the later side. The first peak is the LH surge, and ovulation usually happens 6-48 hours later. So unless you have a short surge or the monitor picks it up late, you should still be OK just having sex on the two peaks. Ideally, you'd have sex on the last high day (no way to know when that will be in advance though) and the 2 peaks, then the high after the peak.

Last cycle i bd all 5 highs, 2 peaks and the high after, thought i would take a different approach this cycle and bd every other high.. thankfully, as there was 15 of them! Annoyingly i peaked the day after we were on a 'rest' day, but did bd both peaks and high following.. Hope it was enough, using preseed and agnus castus too, fx and babydust to everyone xx
