No I only go to an OBGYN because my insurance doesn't cover an RE or specialist unless you haven't conceived and they consider chemical pregnancies a conception.

That's a really unrealistic insurance rule...sorry to hear your dealing with all this.

that is pretty ridiculous. Plenty of people need to see an RE especially if they have recurrent miscarriages.

Thanks everyone . We will try again despite how defeated I felt yesterday. Picked up my Clomid today, going to take it CD 4-8.

When will my tests get lighter? With my last chemical my tests turned negative fast...but now they are the same or darker? I want to start Clomid on Friday and I was hoping to test out the hcg by then...it was only a 9 so wtf?

Wow these strips are sensitive...got a much lighter but still + result today almost 48 hours after a confirmed beta of 9. I'm starting Clomid either tonight or tomorrow (probably tonight) and I am going to speak with my doctor tomorrow about a progesterone supplement. As for the rest of my regimen this cycle I'm going to...

1. Take 81mg baby aspirin
2. Use soft cups (also did this last month)
3. Use conceive plus (also did this last month)
4. Take a prenatal (have been doing this for almost a year)
5. Have DH take a fertility supplement (4th month)
6. Use OPKs (have been using for months)
7. Chart for the first time or at least attempt to
8. Take mucinex (also did this last month and I had amazing cm
9. Take a B6 and Folic Acid supplement
10. SMEP which we also did last month

Yes I want to go full throttle this month. Last month was an obvious success with conception and I hope this month it will not be an abnormal conception.

well guys im out this month just went to my obgyn for my normal follow up, i did my day 21 labs monday and just found out that the clomid didnt make me ovulate...again...she doesnt want to up it anymore and said my next option would be iui or ivf, so i guess im going with iui...im just tired of diassapointment after dissapointment

Leylee.. sorry hun. Why won't your Dr try 150mg of clomid? Is she a FS or RE? Generally its 3 cycles before trying something else. We're you monitored on the past 2? If not mm how does she even know what your follicles were doing.

Leylee.. sorry hun. Why won't your Dr try 150mg of clomid? Is she a FS or RE? Generally its 3 cycles before trying something else. We're you monitored on the past 2? If not mm how does she even know what your follicles were doing.

She was very blunt with me and told me chances are the 150 wont work and she doesnt want to increase it because weve talked about the effects of increasing it. which she said could lead to ovarian cancer. Shes just and obgyn. I wasnt monitored by ultrasound or anything just a 21 day blood test to see if i did ovulate. She just recommended me to another obgyn in the area who also specializes in infertility and they have an ivf and iui clinic in their office and said because its in the office my insurance will cover it. i doubt it will, but i guess its worth a try to do IUI. I did go see an endocrinologist earlier this year who just put me on metformin and told me to follow i diabetic diet and that i would ovulate...not to happy with that becuase it obviously didnt with even with the clomid...

It wouldn't hurt to see the other doctor and get a second opinion. I would think that femara or injectables would be the next step.

she didnt mention femera once and i was too blown away by the fact it didnt work when i got positive opks that i forgot to even ask. she did talk about progesterone shots but seemed more like she wanted this new dr to make the call because he specializes in infertility more than her. i do have an apt with the new drs NP in march, i guess you have to see her first before you see the dr, so the way i see it is she made it seem like he had more options and that i should give him a try, so thats what im going to do.

yeah he might, i was thinking about that, i know woman who have taken 300 mg before, i know there are many other options between clomid 100 mg and IUI or IVF she seemed to just jump right to the IUI option. Ill see what this new dr says, im even going to start looking into home remidies and different things like that, lol my husband is hmong and i even asked him if we could get a shaman lmao

I am hoping my doctor will refer me to a FS for next cycle - I really want to get monitored and see what is going on.
