colposcopy when pregnant?

Hi, i had letz loop treatment in july last year and have been asked to go for a colposcopy this month to check everything is ok. i have told them i am pregnant but they still said i am to go. has anyone else had a colposcopy when pregnant?

Hi...not yet but I was due mine in November and shouldnt really put it off much longer. They tell me there is no problem with it in pregnancy and they arent worried about it at all. I guess its natural to be worried though and personally I keep thinking if there was a problem they wouldnt treat it during pregnancy anyway so why not wait until afterwards?

hi, my consultant suggested i had my colposcopy after baby was born, pregnancy hormones change cells and suggested 6 weeks after baby born to have it as hormones will have leveled out. He wouldnt even let me have a smear when i was preg this time to check cells. guess every doctor/consultant is different.

Hi hun, i had one at the end of january, i rang and explained i was pregnant, they said still go, as they can still chat with you and take a look at whats happening, the cells change while your pregnant anyway so i think thats why they just look. They told me i had changes when they looked, they want me to go back when the baby is 12 weeks old. I would go to your appointment hun, they wont look unless you agree, at least thats what happened for me, they should call you back after baby like they have done for me. I know its easier said than done but honestly try not to worry about it.
