It's not even like it's an addiction, it's a necessity.

Just wanted to see if anyone else seems to do nothing but buy clothes for LO. It's costing me a small fortune lol.

Earl is 5 months, and in size 9-12 months clothes. I had to go out last week and buy a complete new set in that size as his 6-9 grows were virtually cutting off the circulation to his toes.

He has so far gone through:

Newborn: Birth -10days old
0-3m: 10 days - 5 weeks
3-6m: 5wks - 12 weeks
6-9m: 12weeks - 5 months

So he should stay in these for about 3 months, which means that in the next few months I need to buy a set in 12-18m ready for around the end of June :dohh: Ebay here I come! lol

For us:

New born 10 days
0-3 10 days - 8 wks
3-6 8 wks - 13 wks
6-9 13 wks - now

Now we'r buying more footless suits for daytime, as we always have problems with the length, & we'r also spending a small fortune on outfits :D

I can't stop....but I think its an addiction!

I can't leave the house and come back without new baby clothes!

I sorted it all out the other day and have sooooooooo much stuff in 3-6 months! Its all summery stuff though so we better have a nice May/June as thats when I reckon they'll fit her. I have clothes for her up to 1 year old :D

i have always been like this, i still shop all the time for all 3 of them lol

Laila was in tiny baby until she was about 2 weeks
in first size until she was 4 weeks
upto 1 month until she was 7-8 weeks
0-3 ..is still in them, comfortably =)

Ronan's been in and still fits a lot of his Newborn stuff now at 6 weeks. He's only just starting to fit into his 0-3 outfits & most are a bit big on him still. Luckily I have a ton of 0-3 because I thought he'd be bigger than he was at birth and wouldn't fit into newborn at all!

I just bought a load of 6-9 babygros today actually!

I have a small problem - I can't help myself buying clothes for him. Hes a cool wee dude and has nicer stuff than me!!! (I still treat myself too though!)

I feel your pain! Emma is in mostly 12-18mth clothes. Before she was born, shopping was an addiction, picking up cute stuff all the time in sizes up to 12 mths. Some of the stuff she only wore once :( Now that she's outgrown all that stuff, shopping has turned into a necessity. Poor bank account...

Hannah was like that, she grew very quickly though it has slowed down somewhat! She still outgrows the length of clothes long before she hits the weight guidelines on them :D I am currently shopping for her 2 years stuff as I feel she'll be out of 18 months things pretty soon

Logan grew out of newborn at 1 week, 0-3 lasted until 5 weeks and so we are in 3-6 at the min at 7 weeks....

I have a suitcase full of the next size up so im ready for that but i cant resist buying more. Evrytime i go into town i have to buy him something!! I will easily spend money on him and oh but hate spending money on myself!! Silly mummy mind!!

We're still buying 0-3 , most 3-6 months are still too big!

We actually seem to be on track. Abigail is 3 months and is now into 3-6 months for most things. She still fits some of her 0-3 tops but she is a long baby so wears skirts and dresses a lot since trousers are so hard to get fitting right.

Harrison is 8 weeks on tuesday and altho he is nearly 11lbs hes still in most of this newborn stuff, a few 0 to 3 fit him but are a little big

Ella went into 0-3 month stuff around 2 weeks and then moved into 3-6 month stuff about 3 weeks ago (She's 10 weeks now). I love buying new things but with 3 other kids aswell as a growing baby it gets quite expensive!

His 0 - 3 months stuff lasted way beyong the point of 3 months.
the 3-6 months things until about 5 months.
6-9 months clothes until about 7 months.

It's mainly sleepsuits and vests which are too small. He's now in 9-12 months vests and I gave up on sleepsuits and just put him into rompers during the day when we are at home or tights and a vest.

Because of Andrew's wee size, he's only just achieved "newborn" size clothes now at 7 months actual (4m corrected) :)

mirren never fitted in newborn, wore 0-3 til 9 weeks and is now filling up 3-6. sleepsuits have to be footless cos she's soooo long! Was gutted the other day when she didn;t fit in the cutest pair of dungarees i had for her! 6-9 here we come!

I buy her clothes from Ebay and charity shops! or get bags of clothes off freecycle. i then sell her good clothes on Ebay and give rest to charity shops or freecycle.

i think the labels give me false hope - lasting 3 months? not a chance

We are in 6-9 but I reckon we've only got a month left in them. I wouldn't mind if she stayed in bigger sizes to her age if they last 3 months! about 8 weeks in one size is our longest!

Maybe if I stop feeding her she will stop growing.............. or just hit sainsburys when its 25% off!

kye is smaller than the sizes , so at the momment he has jus started wearing 9-12 n its a bit big, 6-9 is small i just went out today n spent 100 quid on new clothes 4 him

I know what you mean, Brady grows so quickly too, and I've stopped buying clothes way ahead of time now after buying loads of 0-3 stuff when I was pregnant and only seeing him in it once, and people bought bigger sizes in clothes for summer in 6-9 months which he'll probably never get to wear as he's been on 6-9 for a few weeks now and it's still not warm enough for most of it.

I've started getting footless sleepsuits or PJs now as it's the length that he grows out of so quickly as he's got long legs. Vests last longer though so most of the time he wears long sleeved bodysuits and trousers so i don't waste money on tons of outfits that will only last a few weeks.

I hope we have a good summer this year, dont need to worry about the length of shorts!
