Twinkles- I'm sorry you're having a down day, hun. If you're just getting EWCM I'd say that maybe your are just late O'ing this month. You should probably BD on your EWCM days just to be safe. OPK's can just not work sometimes, too, so if you're not charting your BBT yet, I highly reccommend it. It has been a godsend to me. I got a false-positive OPK this month and my RE would have called off my entire IUI cycle had I not been able to see what was going on with BBT since he didn't know if I may have possibly O'd.
Oh, and yep. I had my HSG last month. But I have been dealing with anovulation and took Clomid to O, so I don't know if there might be a connection for you. I think you are definitely on the right track with IUI and Clomid though. As far as IUI sample goes, for the RE I go to, you can either bring in a sample (you get 45 minutes to get it there!) or it can be done in-office. DH and I are going to do it at home so that we can, um... make the sample together? (Sorry, tmi.) We still want it to be us making a baby together even if it means having to RUSH to the doctors office after for the IUI. Maybe that sounds odd? I don't know. Also, my RE's nurse told me that if there is any issue with sperm count they want folks to abstain beginning on CD 10 or 11, but since my DH's count is good, it's at our discretion. I can tell you this much though, it has been GREAT not having to BD so often anymore. Bot my DH and I are so much happier. So thankful for the ability to do a timed & triggered O and IUI.
Cindylou777- Sorry you didn't have any good follies today. CD9 is still really early though. My RE let me get to CD15 w/out maturing follies before upping my Clomid because he said even with the meds O can take a while. I will keep my FX'd that your Friday appt shows some good development!
Nadhoo- I feel for you! Still, it is very good that your scan today showed normal (even if slower) development and you got a follistim injection to speed things up. I bet that will do the trick and get you ready for your IUI. Keep us posted!
As for me: Well, I started taking my 100mg Clomid last night. I'll take it CD15-19. I really hope it gets things moving along! Man the hot flashes are INTENSE. I kept waking up every 15-30 minutes last night feeling sweaty and absolutely dying of heat. Yuck!! I hope tonight goes better. If the Clomid doesn't work out this time, I wonder if my RE can switch me to something else. This stuff is unbearable and every time I take it I get so incredibly sick!
Hi Ladies:
Sprinkles -- thanks for your long explanation, what would i do without this forum!!!
I knew I shouldn't have done it. But I got a second opinion from another RE now I'm utterly confused. OMgoshhhh..
So they both are in agreement to do IUI + meds. One is completely opposed to clomid saying that he doesn't recommend it for someone who is ovulating regularly. This RE wants to put me on Follitism and IUI. He checked my follies and I have a good amount apparently 7 or 8 and about to o in a few days.
The other says IUI + CLomid.
As you know the cost difference is a big difference.
Now I'm so confused. I'm on month 9 ttc so apart of me is thinking it's payback for being so impatient. However, I'm glad I checked because my FSH is at 9 and amh is 1.06 so definately borderline for my age (confirmed by both RE's).
I hope SOMEONE can give me some insight. So so confused.
Thanks in advance!
