Hi Ladies

Not really ttc related

Right i managed to lose 4 stone for my wedding 14 months agon, since we got married we decided after a few months to start ttc, so i needed to stop smoking and start eating healthy.

This has not worked out very well and since June 2009 i have put on 2 stone on, and i know its not an excuse but this ttc just makes me feel so down thats its not working that i comfort eat and then when i would of gone for a cigarette im going to the fridge. Its so hard work.

Anyway tomorrow is the start of excercise and healthy eating, this will of course also help with the ttc and now i have wrote in on here i know i need to stick to this new regime

I love running, it's a fab stress buster and all my s**t i'm going through, like when :witch: shows up going for a run really helps my sort my head out.

scientists say if you do something 10 times it becomes a habit/routine, so come on ladies lace up your trainers, get ur mate, dog, sister or just an MP3 player and get out there, it's fab.

Also for those of you with an Iphone theres a really good app called micoach that really helps.

As for all the junk food we turn to when were down, I found the best thing to do is not buy it, if I bought it for my hubby i ate it not him!! so I told him i wasnt buying anymore, if he needed a fix he had to go the shop and he does, done us both the world of good.

go on you can do it xxxx

I used to be in the Army so i had to run even if i didnt want to, dont start off to hard you will just do yourself an injury. cycling is really good, but if you wanna start running the best way to build up your fitness and fast is sprinting. for example sprint to a lampost, walk to the next, sprint to the next, walk to the next, you get the message.

Then just build it up, you will settle into it, just need to decide when, where and what your going to do and do it, for yourself. I swear it gets easier xxx good luck to you all :hugs::thumbup:

How did you lose the 4 stone? Did you do a specific diet? Thats really good, I wish you lots of luck and PMA for your healthy regime. Ive just lost 3 stone for TTCing but would love to lose at least 2 more stones, you've inspired me thankyou!

i lost 3 halfstone for wedding iv put nearly l back on,in same boat as u xx

Since having my Lo (now 26 months) ive lost 6 and a half stone but everything is really getting to me at the moment and I keep heading for the cakes/biscuits etc because its the only thing that makes me feel better (until the next day or when I stand on the scales) - I don't drink or smoke so my bad eating is my only vice!

If I don't buy it when I do my shopping there is a shop opposite me and I just pop over there to get my junk! I always have Lo (DH works alot) and never get time to do any excercise on my own. Like the idea of running though so maybe give the lamp post thing a try if I can get DH to have Lo.

Glad to hear I am not the only one and good luck to you all

I have always struggled with my weight - binge eating, starting a new diet, quitting after a few weeks, feeling miserable and angry with myself again and again. I went low-carb back in Feb to lose weight quickly for a holiday and everything just fell into place - no more blood sugar highs and lows which meant no more cravings for chocolate and other junk foods & loads of energy, I lost weight so quickly and felt so light that I got motivated to exercise. Fat became my friend and I now get to eat all the things you're told to avoid - cream, cheese, butter, chicken skin etc. (eating fat does NOT make you fat!! Excess carbs make you fat!) You can't slip up because when you go back to eating flour and sugar, you feel soooo bad that you just have to low-carb again. My cholesterol has improved dramatically too (even though I'm 25 & don't really have to worry about that kind of thing just now)

Anyway, it worked for me and I've told 5 people in work about it who have now lost heaps of weight. If anyone is struggling with yo-yo dieting or feels starving all the time on low-fat diets, you should give it a try
It's not a diet - it's a lifestyle change xx

hey i go on my wii fit every night and try and do 1 hour i love the running on it so im hoping to shed a bit of weight and hopefully concieve too fingers crossed for everyone

Am determined to join you ladies in being good. My BMI is currently about 31, and I want it down to 28ish before I have my first FS appt in November as don't want my weight thrown at me as a reason for not getting my :bfp:. Not keen on running but am walking more and trying not to snack on rubbish.

Thanks - It was really hard but glad I did it as i'm not 2 stone lighter than I was when I fell with DS. Kind of roughly followed slimming world but didn't go to the group. Really don't want to put it back on again so got to step away from the cakes!
