Do I need to prep cloth wipes?

I've just ordered my cheeky wipes kit and it doesn't say on the website if they need to be prepped or not. Will one wash do before using them?

I imagine they don't have to be prepped like diapers do. They are just wipes, not absorbers.

But I did wash and dry mine. They fluffed up quite a bit and seem softer (especially my unbleached ones.)
