I have started my salt dough decorations- just used festive cookie cutters. They are dried and ready to paint and varnish- I keep changing my mind how I want them painted tho

You're all making me want to get all crafty. So far me and OH have made a few xmas cards. Anyone know where I can get some cheap blank cards and envolpes ? They all seem to be pretty expensive ! Also like dye cuts and other card making supplies ?

I love making presents and I know my mum, stepdad and brother would appreciate it but OH's family are more into money and expensive presents and wouldn't appreciate anything like that (stuck up snobs).

Me and DS are going up our country park on the weekend to find pinecones and we will wash them, dry them and then decorate with glitter and allsorts to put on our tree.

I am buying apples and oranges in a few weeks to slice them up and then dry out as they look and smell great on the christmas tree and also my homemade wreath.

Ill be making my own wreath from scratch, I do this every year as always looks nicer, don't like the ones on my market they always look tacky and the same.

Plus Im making a candle centre piece for the table on xmas day and then can be sat on the windowsill after and I think thats about it for now on top of all the other things I need to do

Does anyone have any ideas for using plastic bottle lids ? My OH drinks way too much fizzy drink so I have started saving them and most of them are red or green =)

I'm going to ship LO off to my mums for the day/night one day next week and get on with my truffles and fudge, I hope I get most/all of them done! I need to make in total around 700 pieces, half and half!

i would say try your local market they tend to have craft stall or poundland

Do you have a store called 'The Works' anywhere near you? They sell blank cards/envelopes cheaply in addition to card making thingies!

Just checked and no, the nearest one is an hour and a half walk. They have a website though and the postage is pretty cheap so I might consider it =) Thanks !

right heres what i have been up to.
i made a couples collage for sil and her boyfriend.
i got a photophrame for 50cent and put the kids pics in and put stars on to make it chrismassy for mil
i got some fudge and put them in baggies and made a little label, this if a rough draft to see if i like it.
im also going to do some chocolate covered raisings and peanuts put them in bags too and write on the label reindeer poop.
im doing hampers for loads of people, they are unfinished, im still looking for stuff and have to buy more bits to add to them and they will be in cellophane and a ribbon when im done. the reindeer poop and some chocolate is going in there as well.

Where are people getting their hamper baskets from? I've done one for hubbys aunty and cousin so far, they were £2.15 from a fruit shop and not really big :/ x

Re baskets I bought mine from store21 for £3.99 :-/ Way more than I wanted to pay but the £shop didn't have any
Mind you, the £shop do plastic tubs that are a good size- you could cover them in wrapping paper? x
