Does anyone have a cleaner?

We have one who does like 3/4 hours a week and gets £25 or £30, he's from an agency and it's sooooo great not having to Hoover! Lol I hate hoovering so much!

I wonder what it takes to be a cleaner, i would love to me, i prefer cleaning other peopes houses, i always offer to at my friends  and sometimes do it while she nips out

It's easy peasy! I know loads of people that are cleaners! Most are through agencies though... so I have no idea what the actual agency charges!

its surpising i dont have more friends, when like cleaning their houses

come clean mine hannah

just think you'll have your own
to clean sooooon :happydance:

I had a cleaner through my pregnancy with Leo and up until he was 12 months old. My friend used to come in on a Friday and clean for 4 hours for £30.. I have thought about getting another one in now but I couldn't trust a stanger with my stuff....I mean what if they nicked something?

to be a cleaner all u have to do is put a add up or look at adds wanting cleaners in ur local shop, thats how the person i no got started.
i was a cleaner for the council when i was 16 n i was on £4.85 an hour at at that age 6 yrs ago it wasa great wage but then i found out im allergic to cleaning products hahaha

i couldnt just have someone hoover my house once a week, i hoover everyday sometimes twice a day lol once i get cleaning i dont mind it, i just need to get started which is the problem haha

God I wish!!! Sadly everything in my house is done by me - including cleaning drool off the walls (I have a mastiff).

My parents have a cleaner every week. They come in for two hours but it's 4hours between them because obviously there's two iykwim?

They had people from an agency but my mums very particular and they didnt meet her standards.
Now she has the two private ones who are friends of my aunt and they are brill.

Don't know how much they charge though.

But my mums cleanaholic and still cleans 24-7 when shes off work *doh*

would it be wrong to get a cleaner for while everyones at work and then claim the credit?

Ha ha....I had thought of that one.
I was toying with the idea of a cleaner when I was working as OH and I worked long hours and the last thing I wanted to do when I came home was scrub the house. Nobody else in the family does anything though so if they did it might not be so much to do :dohh:
I'm bad at cleaning. Life just seems too short to spend it with marigolds on lol.
I would love OH to come home to a sparkly house. And he just might if the laptop ever breaks down :haha:
We had a cleaner when we lived abroad....she used my perfume then filled the bottles up with water. I found out as the bottle was suddenly full when it had been almost empty before! And she stole my knickers .... knickers were very expensive there....but still.....second hand knickers?!

OH's parents have a cleaner. I don't know why though coz they clean before their cleaner turns up. They are too house-proud to let someone come in and clean their house if it's dirty :haha:

I have no idea how much they pay, but I know they do it privately (ie, the employ the cleaner directly and not through an agency)

I would love a cleaner, i think i might b able to spare £20 a week. hmmm. I would have to have a serious tidy before they came round tho. i couldnt let anyone see the mess i live in!!

I would do that too lol x

The normal rate near me is between 8-12 pound per hour and thats for a private cleaner, the agencies are a hell of a lot more, my friend has a cleaner and an ironing lady as well as a nanny, the lazy moo doesnt work either

why on earth would anyone need all that if they arent working lol thats crazy!

I wouldn't let a cleaner into my house unless I was going to be home. I've seen so many programmes with undercover cameras that film what these cleaners do while alone in someones house, from using the same cloth to clean the toilet and then going in and cleaning the fridge with the same cloth to some sicko rifling through the clients knicker drawer! It's enough to put me off I think!

You should put an ad in a local college or uni, I'm a student and would definitely clean for cheap rates for some extra cash, and I have a couple of friends in uni who do.

my sister payed around 7-8 pound per hour, But he live in london so the prices are a bit higher, then the rest of the country.
