How long did you wait to breastfeed after each drink? I would like to enjoy a few for Christmas eve

Your body can process one standard drink per hour. So if you have a glass of wine I would wait a couple of hours to be sure.

I waited about 6 months, but just because I had no cause to drink before. I've read some information that led me to believe that the amount that I drink (1-2 glasses of wine with food) is not enough to even be more than barely detectable in breastmilk, and I'd drink and feed LO right after if he wanted it. I would get smashed, but I'd have no problems drinking a glass of wine with food even shortly after this one is born and not worry about it.

I've just read this:

I use this..

You can drink what you want, it will have more of an effect on your parenting than your milk. By this I mean getting completely pissed would make you unable to care for baby properly, have one or two drinks and you'll be absolutely fine.

I found it interesting in that article that BF'ing moms get less drunk on the same amount of alcohol as FF moms...I totally noticed that....

I've been worried about this also and have read all sorts of advice saying it's ok or you shouldn't drink at all . I think you just need to be sensible about it and know you can't get drunk. I am going to have a drink or two and not feel guilty. I will try and feed dd beforehand so it has more time to get out of my system. Also I like spritzer a so will dilute the wine with soda.

As per my knowledge alcohol stays in our breast milk for around 30 to 60 minutes.

1 standard drink ( so around 100ml of wine - not sure in ounces sorry) takes almost 2 hrs to be completely out of your blood and milk

No its takes the alcohol 30 to 60 mins to enter ur breastmilk.

Its about 2 hours per STANDARD drink to be out of ur milk ( time starting from when u start drinking )
