Drinking Water - how are you going with it?

How is everyone going with drinking 8 glasses of water a day?

I'm going terribly at it. I also don't think I'm making it up with other fluids.

Most days I get half of that. Some days 3/4. Today I've only really 2 glasses.

It's hard because I feel bloated/full most of the time. Yet I manage to have no trouble stuffing more food down my mouth!!

Do you think it will be ok? I worry I could be doing harm by not drinking enough :(

Rubbish! I keep getting dull headaches so know I'm not drinking enough I just can't get any more down me.

I'm horrible at drinking plain water. Especially now that I feel like I can taste every chemical that could possibly be in it (yes, I drink bottled), I find that if I make a really weak iced tea to mask the flavor that I can drink quite a bit and not feel too unhealthy about it. Maybe try mixing in some juice or some flavor drops to make it easier to go down :)

If you can't possibly drink any more, try eating watery foods like Watermelon or pineapple to help you keep hydrated .

I'm awful at drinking. I just forget!

I've been trying, but struggling. I can't eat or drink much of anything these days. :(

I drink room temperature water out of a 32oz gatoraid bottle several times a day, I find it goes down alot easier when it is room temp than when it's cold and you don't have to worry about accidently swallowing ice when you guzzle it down. That way I know how much I'm drinking (32oz at a time). Where I live it is very hot right now, and I sweat alot so I have to replace that fluid, plus my feet are very swollen and doc says drinking water will help that. The stage I'm at being dehydrated causes headaches and bh contractions. Plus I have high blood pressure so I have to make sure my kidneys stay flushed out, as having hbp affects the kidneys working right.

Sparkling water is easier for me to drink more of. Even better if I put some lemon in it.

I'm doing ok, but I've always been perpetually thirsty, and I haven't had any morning sickness screwing me up yet. I drink a lot of sparkling water. It's sometimes tempting to skip it so I'm not peeing every five minutes, though ;) Don't forget, other decaffeinated liquids count, so you could try decaf iced tea, juice, gatorade, milk, whatever works and isn't too sugary.

I struggle to drink water at night and when I have my first loo round in the mornings then my urine is a quite dark. I try to keep up with water during the day though. I drink about 4-5 times of water in a 500ml bottle that I refill.

Not very, but I try, by keeping a small bottle of water with me always. I'm into mildly sparkling water at the moment. I mix it with juice when I am bored of just plain water.

You could try a good elderflower cordial. It is one of my favourites:)

I also keep eating foods with high water content such as melons. You'll get your 8 glasses there easily. Eating more soups for meal times will help too.

I'm struggling with ms and drinking water is very difficult for me. Anything acidic such as fruit gives me heartburn, too
So what I try to do is keep making peppermint or chamomile teas, even if I only drink a few sips from each mug. I keep a bottle of water beside my bed and force myself to drink every time I wake up (less ms at night). It's not easy, though, and I often feel dehydrated. Baby's fine, though.

I'm doing awful. Lol. I hate water and I'm already bloated and have to pee 100 times a day. Oy... Anyway, I better go drink some water.

Yeah - it's just before I got pregnant I didn't drink juice or water at all - almost none. So even drinking what I do now is a huge change for me!!

I struggle with getting enough water as well. I HATE how water tastes, it's too thick, if that makes sense. I drink 6 cans of diet ginger ale a day and hope that it is enough. It helps with the nausea as an added benefit.
