I think they were put in a really awkward situation. What if they told them to sod off, and it had been a genuine call! I know its obviously far fetched with it being the Queen herself and the Corgis in the background, but it is putting the hospital staff in a difficult position. The nurse was obviously very unsure as she sounded nervous but she is just treating Kate as a patient, puking and all, and she should NOT have to have her time wasted by idiots on a radio show. And now the hospital will have to answer to why information was so readily given to someone on the phone, and i just think its wrong that THEY have to be the ones to apologise!

The Queen should still be asked for a legitimate hospital number or a date of birth though. You can't just give out info like that about a patient, no matter who they say they are.

Have to say I agree with this. At the very least put her on hold for a couple of seconds while you speak to someone more senior about what to do. I couldn't imagine the queen giving two shakes if she was that concerned about it.

It's day 3 or so and already I'm bored to tears by the whole thing - so what if she's having a baby... it's not as if she's the first or last, and she'll no doubt do minimal parenting once it's born surrounded by an army of nannies and helpers just like all royal parents before her.

If I knew her I'd care - I don't know her, so it's of absolutely no consequence to me whatsoever.

I think it's rally exciting that they are having a baby but i feel sorry for them that they've had to spill the beans over it already due to her HG. I guess it's the price you have to pay for being part of the royal family.

TBH though it is getting a bit annoying the way that it's in the papers so much etc. I know that its bound to be but we do have another 32 weeks ish before she actually has the baby. What's the betting that there will be something pregnancy/baby/Kate related in the papers every day for the next 32 weeks!

Its on the news, it is actually the hospital and they got through to her private nurse. They even managed to get some info about her condition. The hospital aren't happy, neither are the royals I imagine!
