This is probably a reall stupid question but how do you know when to move your lo up to the next size dummy ?

Lucas currently has the 0-3 tommee tippee soothers but when I went to buy some more I noticed that the next size was 3-6 months so thought id be better off getting those considering he is over 3 months now.

I think they are way to big for him though, he will suck on them but is constantly spitting it out or it just falls out so I have gone back to the 0-3 which he seems most happy with.

So how do you know when to move up a size ?

I moved up a size when i looked at aiden one day & thought oh that dummy looks a tad small for him, i think he was around 4 monthsish before i moved up to 3-6 and i have just moved up too 6-18 yesterday and he is nearly 8 months xx

I think it depends on the baby. My friends baby who is now 11 months still has 0-3 ones! She wont tae any other size!

DD was still using her 0-6 Gerber NUK soothers until recently when I looked at them and said "whoa, those are way too small!". It took about 2 months for her to be comfy with her 6+ Born Free soothers, she didn't really take to those til she hit 8 months.

Ive just tried Alex with the next size and he seems to be taking them.

iv tried a few times with 3-6mnths with keir and he just gags n chokes on it so back 2 the 0-3 aswell. god knos how u kno lol

xx

i always brought orthadontic ones and i pretty much stuck to the age on the labels as i think they size them according to the shape and size of the babies mouth at that age, of course all babies are differnt but i never had any trouble moving up a size when the time came , although it took maybe a day for him to get used to a new shape / size one
