Eating KFC ??

God, we'd live on salad when pregnant if we listened to everyone. I've eaten KFC, I enjoyed it and will have it again. Have one! Don't cut yourself off completely!
xoxox

No kidding! It seems like everytime I read a food-related post, I feel guilty! I don't live off chocolate and potato chips or anything, but is there REALLY anyone out there who eats ALL of the recommended servings of each food group a day? And if so, how do you manage it?!

I certainly don't. Thank god for prenatal vitamins!! ;)

Bah, normally I'm a raging health-food FREAK, but since I've been pregnant, I've wanted nothing but complete garbage to eat. I'll admit to eating waaaayyyy too much processed and fast foods, and it's horrible. I'm having a very hard time stopping myself, however.

BABY HUNGRY!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!

I at a fillet tower burger yesterday... and it was amazing! ;)

I found out I was pregnant with my DS in a KFC toilet. I'd had a horrible craving for the chicken fillet burger all day mixed with nausea...so killed 2 birds with one stone! My craving for that pregnancy was KFC and Irn Bru. My son is now 7 and couldn't be healthier :)

I am craving KFC again this time but I now live in the middle of nowhere and my nearest KFC is 16.4 miles away. I know this because I downloaded the KFC app last week :) Can't see my DH going for me but I can totally see me driving myself there loads over the next 8 months!

I wouldnt even question it i would just go get one if i wanted one  xxx

As the other ladies have said. Not the healthiest thing in the world but a KFC every now and again won't hurt.

I have huge cravings for kettle chips and they can't be good!

Mmmmm - have just eaten a KFC and it was yum!!!! A little of what you fancy won't hurt - I think some people can just go over the top with the do's and don'ts!! Women have been having babies for years and managed (admittedly there was no KFC lol!) and about 40 years ago it was thought it was safe to smoke and drink and we all managed to get here ok!!! I am following the guidelines but I am not going to feel guilty for a bit of fatty food, fizzy drink or chocolate bar every now and again!!!

Enjoy!!!!! xx

My nearest KFC is 18 miles away - I think its a good thing or I would live off it for the next 6 months if I could! I had a burger king obsession with my first from 36 weeks onwards and because it used to be so close to my house it was way too easy to just pop in and grab a burger!

Yes it's fine. My wife was told not to eat fish high in mercury or raw fish like sushi, soft cheeses, raw or partially cooked eggs, pate and liver. And to make sure all meat is properly cooked, limit processed foods and caffeine. Most things during pregnancy are ok in moderation, like everything.
My wife is dying for a KFC, so we're getting one when we get home tonight. My son Charlie deserves a KFC as he did a triathlon today! But my other (vegetarian) son is not impressed about the chicken. But he loves Krushems so it's a win win

I agree with the trans-fat. Being bad at any stage of life, not just pregnancy. It is odd to be thinking of them again since they were outlawed in California a couple years ago. None of our fast food or restaurants can use them.
That being said I lived off of Jack in th Box fast food when pregnant with my daughter (before the transfat ban) and she is perfect. I think it is all about balance. Eat healthy when you can and allow yourself indulgences occasionally.
