elective c section

hi all i dont want to get into details just yet, but its most likely that on this pregnancy (2nd pregnancy) im going to be going for an elective c section. I have a consultation about a proper discussion and a decisiion if ill be accepted for it next tuesday on the 10th.

what im wondering is.. if i do have a c sec how long before your due date do they normally book you in for?

I had a C-sec with DD because she was breech. I had my presentation scan at 36 weeks and was booked in the same day for a c-sec at exactly 39 weeks.

I'm also in Birmingham - which hospital will you be going to? My c-sec was at Sandwell (which sadly closed) so probably City would have the same type of procedure.

It depends on your situation. Most dr's wait until you are at least 39 weeks to do a csection.
But again, it depends on your pregnancy, and position of baby etc. Some dr's like to do the section earlier.
