Extra child tax payments this week

The same happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I got a payment of £560 then another payment of £230. I rang them and they said it was what was owed to me. I got a letter a couple of days later. It does sound like a payment they owe you but I'd ring and ask before spending it just to be sure x

just been on hold for 45 mins, i had to call as needed to change my address.

she said money may go a bit crazy for the next 8 weeks but dont contact them about it until 5th Sept if i have any questions.

I got an extra payment of £20 last week, got my usual payment on Monday (although it has increased) and then got another payment today for some reason. I did receive documentation this week with all my updated renewal stuff so figured it was down to that.

It will be an adjustment from your renewal. They will send you a new award notice soon to explain how/why (even though it never makes sense anyway!!) xx
